Who won what, Friday 1st October. Our first Triple Crown winner?

Morning.

It's Saturday, & things to do, so a briefish report today.

Really good MTT traffic, best numbers overall for about a month, though we can safely put that down to "time of month". The relationship between the so-called "payday week" & poker traffic is really strong. Plenty of our High Value players being AWOL as they are playing Live Events made last night's numbers all the more impressive. Folks like destinycod, roddy28 etc are all up at the Edinburgh GUKPT, along with a good few others. Good luck to them all.

In sport, not too much happening, so it's a rare chance for Stoke city to make the headlines as they ruined the unbeaten record of WBA in fine style.

And an oddity for F1 fans - I happened across a wonderful 'photo on Twitter of the start of the Russian GP. That's some 'photo.

    £6,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£7,700)

    JScorgie can do no wrong at the moment & completed the Sky Poker Triple Crown last night by adding BWBH to both Sunday Major & Summit, all in the last 2 months. An extraordinary achievement by any standards.

    The top three had a tremendous battle, with Jscorgie, Super_Oli & mattprawn leading at various stages, but Oli & Matt had to settle for 2nd & 3rd eventually. Really strong FT this, evidenced by seikus & jordz16 in 4th & 6th.

    Worth mentioning that mattprawn won BWBH just 4 weeks ago, so he came really close to a wonderful & very rare BWBH double inside a month.

    @Jscorgie 385000 1 £1424.50 + £635.23 Head Prizes 5

    @Super_Oli 0 2 £847 + £258.99 Head Prizes 4

    £8,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£9,260)

    Well well well, Boring Accountant could "only" manage 3rd in BWBH, but he marched to victory in Avenger Main. £1,800 from Avenger & £1,000 in BWBH will look very pretty indeed when he fills in his ledger with his trusty quill pen. Those who know Matt won't need telling what a wonderfully genuine guy he is. Fingers crossed we will see him at SPT Manchester.

    What a FT this was, with recent BWBH winner heellloooo in 2nd, fishhhhh 3rd, Dog Bloke 4th, Mr Bates 5th & young Craig in 6th. fishhhhh won this in August, and as you know, Dog Bloke has had a fabulous week, winning both Summit & Predator Main in successive nights, so he was very close to an amazing hat-trick. Mr Bates has had a solid week too with a few wins & a ton of FT's.

    @heellloooo 0 2 £742.19 + £213.24 Head Prizes 9

    £4,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£4,815)

    Unbelievable scenes, as freshly crowned Triple Crown winner Jscorgie adds the Mini to his CV. There's no doubt that luck & variance played their part, but somehow the better players invariably prevail, & so it is proving in his case. And by way of unusual records, it's highly unlikely that any player has ever won BWBH & Mini on the same night. My cup of admiration is brim full.

    Good FT too, with Makaka 2nd, extraman 5th & the fairly likeable bbMike in 6th.

    @Jscorgie 2334000 1 £601.88 + £111.59 Head Prizes 4

    @Makaka 0 2 £337.05 + £128.50 Head Prizes 14

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,260)

    BooBoo took the Mega then spent the rest of the evening trying to build a run of wins in the DYM Streak Week.

    seikus, 4th in BWBH, went a spot better here, with splashies in 5th.

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,750)

    RCord is the new Sheriff, & he's another who then trotted off to the DYM tables to try & build a streak, though sad to note that never went at all well.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,755)

    Don't know too much about Reload winner gitmen but Sharky give him a solid rating, & after trawling through the archives I notice he won a Mini UKOPS rebuy exactly two years ago. He had been AWOL for a fortnight prior to his win last night, too.

    @gitmen 1599000 1 £235.70 + £92.81 Head Prizes 10

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,740)

    A week ago Tonyzya took the prestigious BWBH, but bombed out 46th of 58 last night. Some consolation came his way though via a lovely win in Turbo.

    Frustrating night for Curt360x27, 2nd in Sheriff, same again here.

    In 5th was that man Jscorgie. What a night he had.

    I'm not sure I can find much of interest to write here, so other than well done all, especially WiX3, we will move on.

    Easy. A terrific night, & might just be the first, or almost first, Triple Crown winner.

    The DTD cardroom re-opened post pandemic yesterday, & it was very well attended, as you can see.

    I saw mention of this yesterday and it reminded me of my skateboarding days, so let's give it a whirl. I was a bit of a Tony Hawk in my day, you know.

    POSTSCRIPT

    I've since learned that on top of the achievements of @Jscorgie last night, he also FT bubbled the Main. And as he won the Mini, that would have been a FTJ on top of everything else.

    And he won a £1,000 Golden Ticket on September 10th too.

    Extraordinary.

    You're too kind Tikay. A fun night, but perhaps proof that a random group of monkeys will eventually type the works of Shakespeare if given long enough to do so.

    Sadly I can't make Manchester due to a prior commitment, but I'll be at the next one if at all possible...

    Matt
