Who won what, Thursday 7th October - summer666 springs a surprise

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 160,619

Morning.

Probably an average Thursday for traffic, all things considered. And the Final Table Jackpot was not won, just by way of a change.

In sport, the big news was the Newcastle United deal went through. I ruffled a feather or two yesterday, but it's only football. And those who thought Mike Ashley was bad had better take a read of Amanda Staveley's Wiki. If you though Mr Ashley was a wrong 'un, wait until Ms Staveley gets her feet under the desk. Spend a few minutes perusing this;

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£896)

    Sharky take a very modest view of the talents of CaptainGG, but he was able to win last night's 7 @ 7. It's the 2nd time in 4 days & 3rd time in all he's made the 7 @ 7 final. Nice one Captain.

    goldnballz was runner-up, same spot as he occupied in the Mini a few nights earlier, with MattBates in 5th.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,000)

    Just days after helping himself to a slice of the FTJ, Natnug took the £1,000 BH. Very much on the up & up.

    whitters, who took the Main on Monday & has made a featured Final every night since, was 2nd.

    Despite only taking 1 head prize NOSTRI got in on the act too, making this final for the 2nd straight night, 3rd last night, 2nd on Wednesday. Three in a row tonight?

    karlluke, who has probably finalled this one as often as anyone, was 6th.

    @Natnug 129000 1 £210.90 + £122.24 Head Prizes 7

    @whitters95 0 2 £125.40 + £75.71 Head Prizes 7

    £5,000 Hitman Bounty Hunter (£5,670)

    I certainly don't mean this disrespectfully, but I was surprised to see summer666 in last night's Main. They've got a £5 ABI, & have spent the last 4 days playing £0.25, £0.50 & £1 DYM's, so my eyebrow arched a little when I saw them in a £30 Main, & not via a satellite. Fair play though, they got the win & a lovely £950. Nice when a plan comes together. Biggest ever win here too.

    2nd was Climwinner, who is another who has had their hand in the FTJ kitty recently (Wednesday in fact) was 2nd, with splashies in 3rd.

    Froozle took a bit of a break in the summer but seems to be back in the groove again now, 6th in this & 5th in a recent Summit.

    @summer666 945000 1 £772.54 + £180.90 Head Prizes 2

    Michael_M took the Mini for the 2nd time this year, & in doing so earned his biggest ever cash on Sky Poker.

    In 2nd was RCord, who looks set for another good month, having already won a Sheriff in the last few days.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,060)

    Mega winner b_oakdave has been here a very long time indeed. Back in the days when there were Teams here he was a prominent member of Team Diamond, which included Boxster & Natalie Bromley if I'm not mistaken.

    splashies, 3rd in the Main, finalled again here, 4th this time.

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,550)

    Sheriff ticked two very reliable boxes.

    1) roddy28 won it.

    2) @NChanning finalled but did not win it.

    If only everything in life was that reliable, eh?

    Last Saturday's Mini Shapshooter winner ribeiro66 took Reload for the 3rd time this year.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,240)

    Playing just their 5th MTT since August 3rd, when they ran 4th in the Mini, izzysteer took the MidEx.

    In 4th was the immensely popular IVIystical, aka Sam, who I believe we will see at SPT Manchester. A genuinely lovely fella, & it's such a shame we don't see him on the Forum any more.

    Poker results are relative, so today's POTD goes to the winner of the Main, all things considered that was a terrific performance.

    It's all gone very quiet lately, so here's an update on the Mike Postle situation. Cliffs? He's super busto.

    Thanks for the mention! You certainly will see me at the SPT - I was even considering doing some form of live reporting or even vlog style daily roundups of the event for people that can't make it so long as I'm not stepping on any toes in doing so!

    You don't see me on the forums anymore simply because my poker game isn't good enough and I'm not making any Tikay threads!!

    You'd not be stepping on anyone's toes Sam, the more the merrier, though we'd have to be super careful not to offend any of the GDPR rules. "Filming" in a Casino is fraught with compliance headaches.

    My thought process was more vlog-esque (filming my own face, sat down drinking a beer and recapping peoples positions/bust outs, interesting moments etc). Not really any table, card or other people filming unless they explicitly wanted a moment in the video. Anyways, it's just a thought at the moment - only considering it!

    Pretty sure that would be fine Sam, & very well-received if you decided to do it.

    When Clim knocked me out in 3rd they had 908k chips. Summer had 36k @ 4k/8k blinds. Incredible comeback.
