Who won what, Friday 22nd October - uwanaline beats destinycod in BWBH thriller

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 158,810

Morning.

Positively bursting last night, with BWBH hitting it's 2nd highest in 4 months, Avenger Main not far shy, and Turbo at a 6 month high. Lovely, just what we want to see.

Cricket today, by way of a change, with England commencing their T20 World Cup campaign with a match against the West Indies at 3pm (UK time). Earlier in the day, it's the Aussies v South Africa. I've never been a fan of white ball cricket, but I'm going to give this a watch for a few days to see if I can get into it.

£700 7 @ 7 £952

£6,000 BWBH £8,400

£8,000 Avenger Main £9,620

£4,000 Mini £4,970

£1,000 Mega £1,140

£1,500 Sheriff £2,000

£1,500 Reload £1,623

£1,500 Turbo £2,280

£1,000 Quickdraw £1,400

£1,000 MidEx £1,680

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£952)

    MICKYRIG plays the 7 @ 7 & the 19.10 Rebuy BH most nights, & has made the 7 @ 7 Final several times, but as far as I can tell, this was the maiden victory.

    A week or so ago PRHack was playing with the Big Boys in the last dozen of GUKPT Luton, aiming for a £138,000 payday, last night he was 4th in the 7 @ 7 for £90. Funny old game, poker.

    @MICKYRIG 272000 1 £130.90 + £56.06 Head Prizes 6

    @squeak13 0 2 £79.02 + £25.11 Head Prizes 6

    @GF1S24 0 3 £48.55 + £8.54 Head Prizes 3

    @PRhack93 0 4 £38.56 + £52.07 Head Prizes 10

    £6,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£8,400)

    There was a tremendous HU battle here with the lead flip-flopping for some time before uwanaline eventually got the verdict. uwanaline only returned on Friday from a 3 year absence & has just 19 games here. Sharky rate him highly at 90, but its hard to tell much from such a small sample size.

    It was good to see runner-up destinycod back on the Sky Poker streets, he's been gallivanting around the UK playing Big Boy "Live" stuff since October 8th, when he took down a Sheriff.

    @uwanaline 420000 1 £1260 + £680.35 Head Prizes 6

    @destinycod 0 2 £840 + £623.17 Head Prizes 10

    £8,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£9,620)

    riverdam has been with Sky Poker since day one without making too many waves until last month, when he won both 7 @ 7 & Quickdraw. This was quite a big step up in class though, & although I can't be sure, it's almost certainly a PB, & by some way.

    Runner-up bigfatfish has been on a really impressive upswing since March of this year. Has 114,000 games against his name, but over 90% of them are DYM's, so it looks like he's a recent & very successful convert to MTT's.

    The alias of 3rd placed confused me initially, I thought it referred to some weird sexual fetish, but upon closer inspection it's more likely a fan of Port Vale football club. To be fair, that's a fetish too. Some really weird folk in the Stoke-on-Trent region, clearly.

    £4,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£4,970)

    Avenger Mini went to Luke1959, and I'm unsure if he is named after his real-life name or a Psalm.

    An enthusiastic rail were all rooting for Sam, aka IVIystical so were disappointed to see he could "only" finish 2nd, even so it was a great result for an endearingly helpful & popular chap. He'll be up at SPT Manchester next month & I'm looking forward to meeting him even though he is probably young enough to be my son.

    Grumpy Jac was 5th, & had a very solid session - 7th in a £1,000 BH, 3rd in a £500 BH, 5th here, 9th in Mega & 14th in Reload. We had the pleasure of a Jac Diary on the Forum during the Streak Week promo & his diaries are a great read in between his regular flounces.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,140)

    An unusually tough Mega, with GREGSTER enjoying his best result since winning Reload back in May. He had to fend off Palace Bloke & skyflyer in 2nd & 3rd, so that was a most impressive effort.

    @GREGSTER 570000 1 £210.90 + £141.52 Head Prizes 7

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,000)

    Sheriff is almost always a tough one to win, & no surprise to see two hotshots in the form of peiratis & roddy slug this out, with the former getting the nod.

    PRhack, 4th in 7 @ 7, was 5th.

    @peiratis88 200000 1 £350 + £199.53 Head Prizes 4

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,623)

    Reload winner spearsy is in his 12th year at Sky Poker and never pulled up many trees in his first 4 years here, but since then has become very profitable & has had a bunch of solid scores including 2nd in the Sunday night £6k BH earlier this month.

    Thursday's Mega winner Natnug was 3rd, with goldnballz, who later went on to win an SPT seat, in 5th. Hopefully, Paula will come along to the SPT too.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£2,280)

    udders602 took the Turbo, but that alias is absent from Sharky & the Forum search function drew a blank too. Not much I can say then.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,400)

    A very competitive Quickdraw final, with Doobs, presumably having got the kids to bed, taking the honours ahead of Sharki0 & Crushy. Quite a podium, that.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,680)

    SPT Manchester Semi (21 runners)

    Keen-eyed readers will have spotted that StayOrGo won seats to both UKOPS & SPT last night. He also became only the 2nd player to win TWO seats to Manchester.

    Craig, Keith & Tina each won a seat too. All 4 of them are SPT regulars, so it's all coming together nicely.

    One of my all-time favourite tracks today, Jeff Beck playing a Beatles number, A Day in the Life. This is guitar playing at it's very best.
