Morning.

Bumper numbers across the board last night.

The 5th Ashes Test is going exactly as the previous 4 - disastrously for England, and a stroll in the park for the Aussies. Bet our players can't wait to get on that flight out of Australia. Meanwhile, the Old Pals act is in full flow, Stokes says Root is the right Captain, Root says Silverwood is the right coach & here we are on the way to what would be a a 5-0 whitewash were it not for the unlikely batting heroics of James Anderson in the 4th Test. The England squad all have their families with them, as if it's a sort of winter break in the sunshine with a bit of cricket thrown in. Which seems to be exactly what it is. On field, the players look relaxed & are joking with their Aussie counterparts. Carry on enjoying yourself lads.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,155)

7 @ 7 went to supercrazy. Does not make these threads often but has been here 13 years & 20,000+ games, has always been profitable & makes a decent return at an ABI of around £5.

You know all about runner-up splashies of course, & it was another solid session - 2nd here & 3rd in the chunky Avenger Mini, & that was just 24 hours after he won Thursday's Mega.

In 7th was Sunday8pm, who used to be a vey good MTT player back in the day.

£6,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£8,600)

Another success in a lengthy list of big results for ChipDiddy0, which includes a UKOPS HR for £6,000, a Major for £3,700, two UKOPS Rebuys for £3,200 & £2,200, and a Gold Rush Main for £1,300. Add in another £2,300 here & you are looking at a mighty impressive CV. Those results are over 1,300 games, & it's a little surprising that Sharky only has him at 83.

2nd & 3rd were NIHIGHGUN & seikus, both of whom have solid résumés.

Many good judges have commented positively on UnEuropean, & he had another good night, 4th here & 2nd in Sheriff.

What a week djsnorlax has had - won Tuesday's Summit & Wednesday's Sheriff & was 5th here for tidy money.

Just missing the FT was TommyD. I'm not quite sure what the game plan is but he seems to be transitioning back to MTT's. Those with long memories may recall he picked up a lump of FTJ back in May 2014, for winning the Main & 5th in Mini. Just a month earlier scotty77 got the full £5,000 when he won the same two Events. Strange how it's always been the case that FJ's come in bunches, like buses.

    £8,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£10,360)

MarcScot took Avenger, & for students of form this was no surprise, as it was his third Main Event win having previously booked both Hitman & Predator in 2020. Probably best remembered though for winning the November UKOPS £40,000 Main 2 months ago and taking home a whopping £10,200.

Runner-up Steed enjoyed himself too I suspect, 2nd here before (or after?) going on to win the Turbo, exactly a month since he last won Turbo. A very worthy 1-2 here I'd say.

FeNdeR36 popped up with a splendid 4th. We don't often see him in Main Event Finals as the bulk of his volume is at lower stakes, as his 2021 CV shows - won two Minis, 7 @ 7 & a Reload, as well as FT's galore. He's a good guy too, does not chat much at the Tables but when he does it's always gracious & civil.

    £4,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£4,935)

Poor Jscorgie, who ended 2021 in such great form has endured a whole 5 days - FIVE DAYS - without winning a Featured MTT, but ended the run here. One man's downswing is another man's heater.

Talking of downswings, waller02 has been going through a lean spell & it affected his confidence, so good to see him grab a nice result here in 5th for some £200. In fact, if you look at his Sharky graph for the last 18 months it's almost non-stop vertical, & this "downswing" is a mere blip over a 4 week period. In that 18 months he was over £10,000 to the good so I really don't think he has much to worry about. Confidence - or lack of - is a weird thing though, & it affects us all in different ways.

waller's exit puzzled me somewhat, as there was a player with one twenty seventh of a Big Blind, but perhaps he has yet to reach the chapter on ICM in Super System.

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,450)

A good understanding of the game & an intelligent approach generally yields good results, so my congratulations after another good result go to UnEuropean in 2nd.

    The winner? Oh yes, I nearly forgot. I wrote this in yesterday's Thread;

"Swog (6th) made the MidEx FT for the 2nd time in 3 nights (6th & 5th), & also ran 3rd in Wednesday's Sheriff, so plenty of FT's but little sign or indeed prospect of actually winning anything. PS - Happy to eat those words when he does book a win."

Sincere congrats Mr Swog, & I guess I'd best go eat my unpalatable words.

And what about LmfaoAllin - another FT for the PL:O cash game whizz.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,824)

Rather oddly, Sharky seems to have missed last night's Reload, but neenio definitely won it, and it was his 3rd Reload win in 3 months. Won a Mini in September, too.

Perhaps grateful that Sharky missed it was @Swog in 142nd place.

    This time last year...

This night last year BWBH went to MAKAKA, who I've not seen here for 2 or 3 months. Avenger went to newdaddy.

Interesting to see the numbers this time last year, absolutely monsta, though I guess we were still in the Lockdown boomlet then.

    Guilty, Your Honour.

Playing for the win is the excuse I'm sticking with.
