Who won what, Thursday 13th January - malone & bert are the Hitmen, & Spearsy has a good night

Morning.

Other than a small miss in the Mini, numbers were OK last night. Certainly not great, maybe not even good, but "ok".

In sport, I waffled on at length in yesterday's thread about the lack of goals in AFCON, with every match except one ending 0-0 or 1-0. So yesterday Cameroon beat Ethiopia 4-1, just to make a fool of me. For balance, yesterday's other game, Cape Verde v Burkino Faso reverted to the norm; 1-0.

This morning's headline was the Djokovic saga, the latest twist being his visa has been withdrawn again. By the time you read this, he'll probably have appealed & got it back.

Finally, we saw a new Arsenal last night. Down to 10 men after Xhaka was re-carded after 25 minutes, they somehow repelled a normally rampant Liverpool at Anfield to secure a 0-0 draw. A stunning effort by any standard, but especially so for an Arsenal team who so often lack backbone in these spots. I am developing a degree of man-love for Arteta.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£917)

What a change of fortune for melvin1958. 17,000 MTT's into his Sky Poker journey, he had troubled these threads just once until he won Tuesday's Gold Rush Mini - & here he is again, winning last night's 7 @ 7, so two nice wins in 48 hours.

The oh-so cuddly & lovable ctbn was runner-up.

    £6,000 Hitman Bounty Hunter (£6,240)

malone02 took Hitman Main, his 2nd Main Event win, as he won a Predator in September 2020. Since then he has won two Megas, a UKOPS BH & now Hitman Main.

mcg899 has the dubious distinction of now being runner-up in two Main Events in the first 13 days of the year - Gold Rush & now Hitman. Has also been 2nd & 3rd in Sheriff in the same period, so he's getting by but can't seem to convert podiums to wins.

scotty77 who plays an absolute shed load of satellites these days, was 3rd for £425, & he collected £600 on Sunday for 5th in Stack Builder, so it's not been a bad week for Ryan.

    £1,500 Mini Hitman (£1,500)

11 months to the day since finishing 2nd in Sharpshooter Mini, bert21 got his Mini win in Hitman. Has also won 7 @ 7 twice. An oddity of his Sharky data is that it credits him with winning a 20 runner £1.20 All-In Sat to a £3,000 UKOPS BH. The oddity is that Sharky credits him £530 for that, which surely can't be right? If true - which I doubt - that one sure cost Sky Poker a few bob.

Crushy was runner-up, small beer to a man (or woman?) who ended 2021 by winning the UKOPS Main for over £8,000, & has already notched up wins this year in three Quickdraws & a 7 @ 7.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,360)

splashies booked his best result of 2022 in taking Mega, though I doubt that record will last long. Back in the day, up to maybe 2015 or 2016, he was prolific & successful at Heads Up Hypers, but from what I can see he's retired from that scene now.

    5th & 6th went to Usual Suspects in the form of Monty15 & Super_Oli.

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£1,650)

devil_tear took Sheriff, just 5 days after winning Sharpshooter Mini.

djsnorlax is in tremendous form - won Tuesday's Summit, Wednesday's Sheriff & was 3rd in Sheriff last night.

In the Xmas UKOPS PokaBayb9 had two very big wins - £5,700 & £3,400 - but we've not seen much of him since until popping up here in 5th. He played Turbo too, finishing 2nd.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,716)

spearsy booked his first Featured MTT win of the year, and for good measure he also won last night's 19.10 £1,000 Rebuy BH to bag a sparkling double. Pretty good night for him. Was surprised to see he has been here since 2009, though it's only in the last few years he has started to put in significant volume. Last year he ranked 17th in the "Count" list (number off MTT's played here), & in the 2022 list he's currently 20th. That's C-O-U-N-T for the foul-mouthed amongst you.

    £1,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,440)

On the subject of Count, Turbo winner Drewett is the exact opposite - just 18 MTT's since 2017. In fact last night was his first MTT's here since 2018, and what a return it was - 8th in the Main, 6th in Sheriff & won Turbo. Best keep an eye on him, might be a live one.

    PokaBayb9 (2nd) & Monty15 (3rd) were both making their 2nd FT of the evening.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,620)

Talking of sparkling doubles, bakersdoze was at it too, winning both Quickdraw and a £500 BH that went off an hour earlier. Despite his alias, he rarely finishes 13th, though he did manage it in Xmas UKOPS 09.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,160)

A thread debut for MidEx winner NPB09.

4th was I_C_Balls, who we have barely seen since November.

Swog (6th) made the MidEx FT for the 2nd time in 3 nights (6th & 5th), & also ran 3rd in Wednesday's Sheriff, so plenty of FT's but little sign or indeed prospect of actually winning anything. PS - Happy to eat those words when he does book a win.

    This time last year...

On this day last year quite a few unusual winners, though I note PokaBayb9 was the Sheriff winner, after which he fell off the radar until returning for Xmas UKOPS & getting the lot.

Can confirm (although I would like it to be true) I've have never won £530 on sky. Play most days but usually only one table at a time and mostly £5 comps
Was nice to win this though especially beating loololollo heads up as they are one of the names I look out for as I consider them to be one of the most consistent Mtt players on this site

    @bert21

Thought that Sharky stat was wrong.

Lovely win in 7 @ 7 though, especially having to beat Crushy heads up. He might just be the most consistent day-to-day MTT-er on the site right now.
