I’m glad you’ve noticed it too!!!!
They deny it of course but it’s so obvious

I heard from my mates brother whose sister works at Sky that it’s a deal they have with the high rake generating players

    For example
The cash guys get a minimum of 10 set up hands a month that should ensure they get full double ups. Like Aces v Kings

The mtt guys know that if there are less than 20 left then if they go all in with any pair it’s guaranteed to win

It’s shocking but i guess they have got away with it for years so why stop now when even though people have started to question it

Lol I think Jac is been silly. Though people for whatever reason do like to make up nonsense so many of us could come up with that anecdotal nonsense.

Lets see four stories of nonsense I have heard myself,

    1. met a girl who talked to a few times who told me she had a friend who worked for Playtech and that he programmes it to take back any winnings by been rigged eg if someone wins it is programmed to rig the cards so they lose in future and thus lose back their winnings. She mentioned this specifically in regards to poker and called me a loser for playing like I was a fool.

Well whilst I am not living it up in mansions from my poker winnings my long term winning is statistically significant and fully debunks this nonsense.

She even went so far as to fabricate a story about how he would draw funny faces on the cards for a silly.

I can speculate to why she would make up this nonsense but suffice to say if what she said was true neither me or anyone else would have positive results from online poker.

    2. With regards to trading someone once told me he knew a guy who started with £5000 and regularly traded it up and got to £20000 but then some smart boys in London were watching his trades and took the lot of his money from him by outsmarting him and manipulating the stock price one day.

This is one of my favourite stories due to the sheer absurdity of it. for starters the alleged friend/victim of the smart boys in London was using a stocks and shares issa account according to the person who told me this story not spread betting. If it was spread betting I could entertain the guy took some reckless risks got lucky and then luck caught up with him busted him and he blamed them smart boys in London.

However on an issa trading platform attempting to day trade with a roll as small as £5000 would not work as you would likely be eaten alive by fees on the buying and selling. However even if not too make such massive gains in the short amount of time (I was told a few months) without multiple times leverage one would need to either get incredibly lucky or be insider trading.

Since I was told he was buying individual stocks in a company not an exchange I would assume he did not have the option to over leverage I may be wrong on that point though.

The next stupid thing comes to them smart boys in London first of all if your trading in shares in mutli billion pound companies you moving between £5000-£20,000 would be very unlikely to even show up on the radar. I doubt even if it did somehow that some smart boys in London would bother to spot your trading pattern and move Many billions of pounds to try and take your relatively petty amounts, further even if they did you be losing a small percentage a time not the lot in one go as told.

Also I like the "those smart boys in London" its kind of the sort of thing the Sun or daily star would come out with.

    3. allegedly slot machines are rigged and if you know the algorithm you can make a living from playing slot machines. The lady who told me this, even went so far as to tell me a story of a guy who was doing this and went into great detail about how him and his girlfriend would be bagging up the £1 coins and taking them to the bank etc etc.
This was a pretty awful person who was hoping I would believe this story and try it myself and gamble all money away on slot machines believing in a fictional system. unforgivable.

    I was never that stupid.

    4. Different poker rigged stories one guy down a casino told me that MTTS online on every site are rigged in favour of the big stack in order to end mtts quicker. When I questioned him on this and asked what evidence he had I got told to shut the F up and that he had been keeping track of this for some time and knew what he was talking about.

Well if he did that is a big thing to come out and obviously it is not unreasonable to ask for proof rather then blindly accepting it.

Further I have heard this one before on multiple occasions if this was true a good strategy would be to just open shove every single hand, in an mtt. Obviously its unlikely that anyone would call you the first time and after the first shove you are now the chip leader so will likely win from then on.

You could absolutely clean up if this was true.

I think everyone has heard nonsense gambling stories before. I could well believe anyone if they told me that someone else had told them X regardless of how crazy X was. I just would require evidence that X was true before I believed that it was actually true. Believing that someone would say it though yeah absolutely.

@Jac35 and @benhur7200 are right. Those £3 and £5 dyms are a joke. Some people win far too often

i play on this poker site for fun and fortunately i win a lot more than i lose in the £3/5 dyms. However id be interested to hear opinions on something im observing with dyms. since sky stopped showing where people come from( next part could be just a coincidence), but im seeing lots of what i will call new (new players) , they will play just one dym game and then i wont see them again. even when i do a player search they dont show up to be playing, and i go through lots of these names, with which i have over 100 at least. secondly they all seem to have the exact type of playing style. this is also a good thing as im just treating all new players the same way with their playing style.

and has anyone else spotted where it shows players seated and online, two times now its shown more players seated than there is online, how in the blue **** is that possible?
if i see it again and im quick enough i shall screen shot it.

I think it says more people can be seated than online because of people playing multiple tournaments and other games at the same time, not sure though.

I don't play that many DYMs.

I've not noticed the "new player" bit. But I have had 7 people listed for a 6-man TDYM recently. Only 6 were playing-but 7 were in the lobby.

I'm confident that it was the rubbish software, rather than anything else.

I was playing in a one player DYM and still lost! Funny, thought my game was getting better?

I have no doubt you will have a lot of new players who will open up a dym for the first time and think **** this for a bit of fun and never ever play one again. They are bound to be boring for a player just looking for a quick gamble. These sort of players all play the same, calling to see every flop, slow playing big hands etc this is just what bad players do in dyms. It's the best thing about this site tbh. Try a $5 dym on partpoker and i can almost guarantee you will face 5 other grinders in the other seats.

I don't know how the players seated/online function works as i've never payed attention to it. It maybe counts every seat that is occupied in which case with players multi-tabling it could be higher than total number of players online. If it's not this it will just be a glitch. Don't let it worry you either way.

    GL at the tables.

Did the 7th player make the money? Could be a fun bug

has anyone noticed that the top 20 players on shark scope DYM believe that Sky is fair...... and consistent losers all think the site is rigged.

Unfortunately as with all conspiracy theories the same evidence can be taken to support both arguments depending on your bias.

Tonight i have had 8 all in a rows where i was slightly ahead preflop.... up to 80/20 favourite go against me......but i see this as variance and if i do the same consistently tomorrow and the day after etc i will continue to win as i have done for the last 20 years on multiple sites, and i will continue to laugh at the conspiracy mongers.

and i think jac35 is on the wind up btw..... :-)

I had bad luck at the tables today and ran really bad so online poker is rigged. When I win again poker is not rigged that is how it works. It is a simple formula to follow. If it was not for the evil reptilians rigging the software against me sometimes I would win 100% of the time.

    enjoyed reading the comments.
i for one never think this site is rigged, i just like to pick up on trends and its good to get a general feedback.
with the online compared to seated observation, it never even dawned on me to consider people multi tabling ( me having a div moment ) lol. doesnt river_fox look hot!
