Traffic was decent again, despite the distractions of Bonfire Night, with all 6 events easing home. Poker players don't necessarily enjoy firework displays & bonfires, but many of them have young families, so it had to be done. So we now stand at a perfect 57/57, with just tonight left. The Main (£40,000) is going to be a close run thing, but if I had to bet, I'd take the Unders on the required 400 runners. Whatever happens though, it's been a great series.
I'm very short of time today (don't ask....) so apologies in advance for a somewhat briefer report than normal.

Exactly a day after I wrote that "things have not quite clicked in this Series for @Natnug" he decides to make a fool of me, though I suppose that's not difficult. He not only won this, he obliterated it & he just ran over the field. Give a player like him a commanding chip lead at the halfway point & it's only ever going to end one way. It was quite something to watch too. Amazing how often UKOPS PLO & PLO8 events are won by super aggressive NLH players. Hats off to them, it really is all about (well-timed) aggression.
GOAT of GOATS @Tedson was 2nd, & even that was a miracle. With 4 tables left he was out with the washing in abbot 18th place, so he must have gone on the tear big time.

There are 25 or more players here with a "fish" alias & it was @fish369 who took last night's Main. Very much a single tabler, he has played just 6 of the 9 nights of this Series, always one-tabling, without previously troubling the judges. The win is no great surprise though, as he has solid form, the most recent of which was a Gold Rush Main exactly a month earlier, when he beat @aynaricol into 2nd place. If we dig a little deeper, we find he won a boomlet £6k Sunday Night BH in March 2020 which made an incred £9,000+for which his share was over £1,600.
I have very little info on the runner-up, but it looks like this was a PB.
In 3rd was Crushy @loololollo who, if I've not lost count by now, was making his 13th FT of the 53 events held at this point. An extraordinary performance by any standards. He & @Tedson are having a right ding-dong for the UKOPS Leaderboard, (with @roddy28 still very much in touch) and whoever comes 2nd can feel a little hard done by.

Well how about this, the pointy-elbowed argumentative obdurate cantankerous @HAYSIE took the Mini, & personally, I won't hear a bad word said about him. Been here for ever, he lives in South Wales and must be well into his eighties. I've not seen him at an SPT since pre COVID days, so I'm hopeful we might see him at Manchester later this month.
2nd was surprise package @balder0y1 and it was only @HAYSIE who prevented him from what might be a unique double, as he won the UKOPS Mini on Tuesday, & in fact a win here would have given him a hat-trick of UKOPS victories in this Series.
Former Sky Poker poster-boy @hurst05 was 3rd, & for stats geeks that was interesting, as he was 3rd in the UKOPS Mini on Tuesday too.
Adam Bromley @bromley04 had a decent night, 4th here & won himself a seat to SPT Manchester. Probably needed cheering up after his beloved Burnley were thrashed 5-2 earlier in the day. He & Mrs Bromley are huge Burnley fans (go figure), & the photo below was probably taken at their 2nd home, Turf Moor.
@bossquaid has got his Sharky graph going in the right direction, & 5th here will help. Think this was his 2nd FT of the series.

The ridiculously young-looking @SwannLol took this, his 2nd win of the Series. Three FT's so far, finishing 1st, 1st & 3rd, so that's pretty neat.
In greyhound terms @PKRPar missed the break & was slow away, but he's showing great late pace, was 4th in Friday's #50, 2nd here, & 2nd again in last night's closer, UKOPS 53.
@GSmith13 (3rd) has had a series to forget, with just two FT's, 6th & 3rd. He might just win tonight's Main though, to get himself out of it.
Things have not quite gone to plan for @cabbaz, but 5 FT's is handy enough, finishing 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th.
It's not been a great Series for @FeelGroggy either, 6th here, but he did become the first player to win three seats to SPT Manchester.

Burger Bloke @Kahuna96 has had a testing few days but he kept battling away & came up trumps with a lovely win here, & 1,000 guineas will repair a lot if not all of the damage. Very pleased for him.
It's been a bit uphill for @tonyp142 too, but he won last night's 7 @ 7 & was 2nd here so that helps.
