M&M's will be honoring women with an 'all-female' packages to celebrate female empowerment and attempt to shake things up in a continued shift toward progressive branding. Mars, M&M's parent company, debuted the feminist candy wrappers earlier this week, exclusively featuring the company's three female mascots: green, brown and newly-introduced purple.

    On 1 level, if it gives people pleasure, fine.

    On another, it just looks like a cynical marketing ploy to get M & Ms in the news.

    Because, at the end of the day, it's not going to change the world. It's a sweetie.

    As somebody who is FAT yes FAT, I said it, huge, obese, porky, rotund, and did I mention FAT, I am only too aware of the body positive campaign. BEING HAPPY in your own skin and for many of us there's enough skin for that is one thing and I support and stand up for that, but portraying it as ok is dangerous.

    It doesn't matter how positive , happy and at ease we are with ourselves, we are at the front of the queue for many major health problems and yet it seems acceptable for MnM to say " Oh you're a plus size person hey. Never mind you look great, Have some more chocolate"
