What's with the smaller tourney prizes?

They seem significantly reduced of late. For example the 11:45pm £5 bounty hunter is now 33% less at £200.

Is there a reason for this? Or is it just another example of corporate greed?

the guarantee is just the baseline the site commits to. it just means if there is less then 40 people register the site still will pay a prize pool of £200 out its to get people in. If hypothetically 100 people register the prize pool would then be £1000. its not so much corporate greed as lowering the potential risk to the company. there have been tournements tried where they say this is the blanket prize pool no matter how many people register, hopefully that does not catch on but it has never been a thing on sky.
