Why Brian May doesn't live in the real world
You may have seen this in the news:-

So-Brian May seems to believe this is someone else's fault.
The Band sold their back catalogue. That's a bunch of already mega-rich people. Who sold their back catalogue. For $1 Billion.
And now he goes to the Press, moaning that the people who have shelled out $1 Billion are (surprise, surprise) trying to get value for that $1 Billion by stopping people using what is now their product for free.
Brian May seems convinced that this is all wrong. Apparently completely oblivious to the fact that it is his (and his bandmates) cashing in that is the cause of this. When he says
"[We’re trying] to figure out if there is a reason for Instagram and Universal suddenly becoming so draconian,’ he added on the social media site."
He could try looking at himself. And his bulging bank account.
He (and his bandmates) had a choice. Look after their fans, and retain copyright control. Or take the $1 Billion. But not both.

No surprise there, Brian May really is Lord Cake & Eat It.
He's been a spent force since Freddie Mercury departed the scene, but Mr May tries to hang on to his celebrity status in the same way Ernie Wise did after Eric Morecombe died, ditto Ronnie Corbett after Ronnie Barker passed.
