A very good morning to you all, especially for those who are new to these daily reports but maybe decided to have a peep as it's UKOPS time.
As always, we start with a look back at what happened 12 months ago...
This day last year
"Xmas UKOPS got off to a decent start with 6 of the 7 events doing very well, the sole exception being the High Roller which served up a hefty miss.
We'll start with UKOPS 01 & it was a pleasant surprise to see it go to Dour Scot Bloke @PKRPar get the win. He's surprisingly popular, perhaps because he used to stream. Been here almost 13 years now, and his best two scores were both this year, winning a Sharpshooter Main in January & now a UKOPS. Won a Summit last year too, so is clearly on the upgrade. Will have done well to beat @Tinderella Heads Up as they have a phenom record, 109% ROI with an ABI of £70, and 2 Sunday Major wins on the CV. @RoilFlush was a fine 3rd, and that was his third UKOPS FT, the first two being in last year's Xmas UKOPS. @Doooobs was 5th & @ILIKE2FISH 6th, and I think we can expect more UKOPS FT's from those two.
Next up was the High Roller, and here we saw @Ramoerrr secure his best ever win. Previous highlights include 2 Majors, 2 x BWBH & a Summit, so he's more than handy. Mean Machine @GSmith13 had been Top 3 all Tourney, eventually finishing 3rd with SPT Champ @chrisdonkb getting the runner-up berth. In 6th was @fishhhhh who has some terrific results in the past including victories in an Easter UKOPS High Roller & 3 Majors.
@jimbo66 was an interesting winner of the Main. Returned on Boxing Day to play the Main after an 18 month absence from the MTT tables, then came back last night & took UKOPS 03 down for over £3,500. Does very well at Cash Games I suspect. 2nd was @P0cketfu11 who you may recall won the Avenger Main on Friday. Nice few days for him. @IllPerkins has only been here 5 months but this was his 2nd big UKOPS FT and he has a BWBH win to his name too. @mrpedro707 must love UKOPS, he won two of them in November, and last night was 4th in the HR & 6th in this.
@ForeSight makes a speciality of doing well in UKOPS Minis. Won last night's UKOPS Mini so has now won 2, plus been 2nd & 3rd, so has 4 podium finishes. Has also booked wins in Gold Rush Main & £6k BH. Sam @IVIystical is in fine form, was 5th here just days after finishing 3rd in Friday's Avenger Mini.
UKOPS 05 went to @Collabo who just seems to get better & better & now enjoys an 80+ Sharky rating. Had some lovely wins as far back as 2014, best of which was close to £2,000 for winning a £12k BH in 2015. @lolufold was 5th with @Shrimpy28 taking 6th, which hopefully helped save his session.
@Limp2Lose took UKOPS 06, not his first UKOPS victory either as he took down a High Roller for almost £5,000 back in 2019 which had one of the toughest top fours you'll ever see, being @destinycod @alancarr12 & @roddy28. If you can beat those three you are probably very useful indeed.
Finally, Crushy @loololollo took the closer. In 3rd was @Rashnikov who won Monday's 9 @ 9 and has impressed in the few weeks he's been on Sky Poker."

Now, turning to last night, we began with the £5,000 UKOPS 01 - obviously - which came in at a reasonable if not great £6,080, & it was @destinycod who took top spot. He's annoyingly gifted & it's probably just as well for his opponents that he perhaps does not take his poker quite as seriously as some, & seems to play for the sheer fun of it. Ridiculous, eh? His Sky Poker CV also includes wins in the Major, Summit & BWBH. In the Autumn UKOPS two months ago, he won twice - UKOPS 02 High Roller & UKOPS 29 Mini - & you'd need to be brave to bet against him winning again in this Series. In 3rd was @Solack, still doing well despite his advanced years, with 4th, 5th & 6th going to @UnEuropean @loololollo & Paul Gascoigne lookalike @MikeyW94.
Next up was UKOPS 02 High Roller which, annoyingly, missed guarantee by £400. Having said that, last year it missed by £2,800, so there's that. For a long time it looked like @jordz16 might win, & he has a great record in UKOPS biggies, but he faded to a still respectable 5th. The winner was @91kid15 who has been here 7 or 8 years but played less than 100 MTT's. This was his biggest win here to date, with the 2nd biggest being, interestingly, an XMAS UKOPS High Roller win last Christmas. Has made 3 or 4 Sunday Major FT's too, so is clearly handy. The lower podium steps were occupied by @cabbaz & @formosina. In this very event last year @chrisdonkb was 2nd, this time he was 4th. In 6th was @tonyp142 who won Autumn UKOPS 47 two months ago.
The official "Main Event" was UKOPS 03 in which @ozzieowen prevailed. Has 18,000+ MTT's on his Sky Poker CV & this was his 4th best result all-time, though to my surprise, this seems to be his first UKOPS triumph. Has certainly won just about everything else there is to win here. Joined Sky Poker on 1st March 2007, less than a month after the site opened. Runner-up was @arnaldo717 playing just his 5th MTT here this month. Other Ft-ers included usual suspects in the form of @Gambelo @TIMBER @AlexaAJ & @MarcScot.
UKOPS 04 was the Mini, with 1st place going to the personable @benc who touched off @Tsaaaar in 2nd & SPT regular @wineli in 3rd. In 5th was @ronny707 who showed his versatility by winning the "big" PLO8 affair earlier in the evening.
In the Autumn UKOPS @Shelley7 was a little unfortunate to end up 2nd in a £10,000 event but got some consolation last night by going a spot better in the UKOPS 05 Mega. Runner-up was @daytime1 who has twice won "regular" Megas. Usual Suspects in the shape of @Jscorgie & @TIMBER were 3rd & 4th, & it was especially pleasing to see @tai-gar in 5th, even more so as he won his seat in a £1.20 All-In sat.
One of the most impressive stats of the night belongs to Dog Bloke @rspca12 who in winning UKOPS 06 Turbo was winning his TENTH UKOPS event. 2nd was @bakersdoze who also made the FT of the Mini in 6th. UKOPS specialist @Tedson (TWELVE UKOPS titles) was 4th.
The night's finale was Hyper Rebuy BH UKOPS 07, which went to @pooochy who recently took down a MidEx. Runner-up was @UnEuropean making their 2nd FT of the night, having run 4th in the opener. 3rd was @Natnug who earlier in the evening FT bubbled the UKOPS Main. He'll be OK, he's just a few days away from being confirmed as the most profitable MTT player on Sky Poker for the 2nd straight year.
