Morning.
This day last year
"Traffic was thin, as it always is on a Monday. The clocks change this weekend too, so traffic will be generally lower. Amazing how quickly the seasons come & go, & Guarantees go up & down to suit.
@bigfatfish is fast closing in on 150,000 games on Sky Poker, of which 91% were DYM's. He took last night's Main, it was his 6th Main Event win & 3rd Marksman Main. And he so nearly won a lot more as he was 4th in the Mini as well, so that was another £750 in his voluminous pockets. Well done Fat Fish Bloke.
We saw a great performance by @AlexaAJ who won both Mini & Mega, which started just 15 minutes apart. He was also 5th in Turbo, 2nd in a £300 BH & 6th in a £500 BH.
@NOSTRI is having his best-ever month, he took the Rebuy BH to make it 4 Featured wins in 20 days - Mini, 9 @ 9, MidEx & now £1k Rebuy. He does not play every night (he's married) so that's all the more impressive.
@BUSTEDACES tends to only play once a week, usually on a Monday, & he took the opener.
Last Friday, @Kaz831 ran 2nd in Avenger Main, & he followed up last night by winning 7 @ 7.
9 @ 9 went to K1ng_Airk0 who won a Mini in January.
There was a surprising winner of Reload, which went to @benc. He's a Heads Up monster & 99% of his games (literally, not a turn of speech) are Heads Up Turbos & Hypers so it was interesting to see him win an MTT. Back around 10 years ago he played the big MTT's here & did well in the old Super Roller, he stopped playing them but he's suddenly started playing them again, & was 3rd in a Main on Saturday. He's ridiculously profitable, & his ABI in Heads Up stuff is almost £24. Quite interesting that he's suddenly started playing MTT's again.
Finally, last night's Turbo was packed with really good players, and it @Super_Oli who emerged on top, much aided by this utterly spectacular hand although he was already big chippie at the time. When you get it in 4 way with 6-6 & discover you are up against A-A, Q-Q & A-J you really do need a bit of good fortune. Note incidentally @cabbaz had just 1BB & folded, which gave him a triple ladder. He might be @cabbaz looking but he's not daft. To complete the story, it's unheard of for @cpfc_2010 to lose a 4 way all-in too, especially when he goes in with the worst hand."

MTT traffic was "OK", no more or less than that really. The daylight hours are getting longer & the clocks go forward in a fortnight, so brace yourselves for the annual Guarantee reductions, followed 4 or 5 months later by the annual Guarantee increases. And so the cycle continues.
The Major made a very acceptable £13,400, with @Gambelo taking 1st place just 48 hours after winning Friday's £110 entry BWBH. So far this year his wins include the Major, BWBH, 3 x Sheriff & 3 x Turbo, plus a whole bunch of FT's. It was his third Sunday Major trophy, the best of which was during the 2021 boomlet & was worth ~£5,300. The runner-up spot went to @28455712 which was a bit of a turn-up as he's mainly a cash game player & I can't find any evidence of him ever playing MTT's - except for Freerolls, & in fact that was how he got in, as he won the nightly Sunday Major Freeroll earlier in the evening. The FT line-up was completed by @AlexaAJ @loosecamel @gaming123 & @steed432 so no real surprises there. Incidentally, it was the 2nd straight week that @loosecamel made the final of the Major, & he's now made 5 "Major" FT's, finishing 4th, 4th, 5th, 6th & 6th. Earlier in the evening @loololollol looked to be in good shape for FTJ money as he was Top 6 in both Main & Mini, but he faded late on, eventually finishing 18th in the Major & 16th in the Mini. @Doubleme won a £3 All-In satellite & went on to run 12th for £234.50, so that was pretty decent.
@LK13 gets their maiden thread namecheck by winning the Mini Major. @ozzieowen was 2nd with Friday's Avenger Mini winner @boarbag06 in 3rd. @mumsie was 7th & will have been pleased to have finished a spot ahead of big-hitter @destinycod but disappointed too, at not making the FT.
@shirley02 collected a most useful £1,234 by winning the £6k BH then went back to churning out results in £1.10 & £2.20 DYM's in an attempt to run up a sequence for the Streak Week promo.
@sassyfoods has been here 10 months without troubling the judges but broke their duck last night by winning the £1k BH. We have not seen @aynaricol on the MTT streets for three weeks but she returned last night & did OK, 4th in this, 5th in 7 @ 7, won a £1.80 All-In Sat to the £6k BH in which she could only manage 43rd but she did collect an £11 Head Prize.
@box05 invested £2.20 in two All-In sats to Mega, won one of them then went on to win Mega itself for just shy of £300.
A popular result in 9 @ 9 which went to @thedazzman for the very first time & who had run 2nd in a £300 Rebuy earlier in the evening. He has a 26% ROI over an 11,500 sample size off an ABI of £5.80, & would probably hold his own if he moved up stakes, though personally I hope he stays at the stakes he's comfy with. Poker happiness lies at playing stakes we are comfortable with.
Reload went to @chico383 who has been here since 2009 & has two 4 figure cashes, both for 1st place, one in a 2021 Sharpshooter Main & the other in a 2015 £10,000 BH.
This time last year @JohnDoo won MidEx & has not graced the winner's circle until repeating the trick last night.
Turbo went to @PokrFreak who won a Mega last month.
That's it for today. Weird week ahead, with a complete absence of televised domestic football, so maybe site traffic will benefit.
