Afternoon.
All sorts going off today, so just the usual brief Saturday write-up.
Numbers were OK, though not great for a Friday, & in fact there was a a small miss in Reload. The £6,000 Avenger Main came in at £7,000 even, with the £3,000 Mini at £3,240. Slightly disappointing in truth. Time of month I guess, monthly Deposit Limits don't reset until today.
Always good to see a newbie get off to a good start & @hotshot23 certainly did that, taking Avenger Main just a fortnight & 63 MTT's after joining Sky Poker. Nit his first win either, won Mega on Tuesday. Think we'll give him a Timeform "p". 4th was @lJAMESl and that was his 2nd Main Event FT in January, & he also won the Sunday night £5k BH a few weeks ago. Great to see James playing here more regularly now. In 6th was @gez_bear whom we shall return to shortly.
None other than @MattBates won the Mini and it's good to see he's retained most or even all of his ability. In the last week he's also won a 7 @ 7 & a MidEx, so that's three wins inside a week. Just like old times really. Sharkscope suggests he's closing in on £400,000 of profit from Sky Poker MTT's. Not many can say that. 3rd was @gez_bear and as he was 6th in the Main, he gets a £150 FTJ cash bonus. He won a an Xmas UKOPS Main 5 weeks ago, & those with long memories will know he won a Vegas package with us in 2015. Hard to believe that was nearly 10 years ago.
Very much a case of the Usual Suspects in the BWBH with @GFKIJKLL getting the win & the likes of @ozzieowen @Drewett @MrDooWop & @destinycod all on the FT. The surprise package though was @lhuggs in 3rd, having gained entry via a £24 satellite earlier in the evening. As far as I'm aware, that's far & away his best performance here.
@aynaricol will surely have enjoyed her Friday evening. She's been playing rather less than normal of late but decided to play 4 early evening MTT's last night, from which she managed a 1st & a 2nd, winning the Rebuy BH & 2nd in a £300 Rebuy. I suspect we'll see more of her in the coming days &, fingers crossed, she'll be at Brighton next month for the SPT.
Sky Poker won't be getting very rich out of @bondski who has taken 13 years to play 26 MTT's but seems to have suddenly rediscovered Sky Poker and after running 6th in Wednesday's £800 BH to break his FT duck he won last night's 7 @ 7.
@Malod had a strange sort of day, warming up by playing two small middle of the day BH's & running 4th in both, then re-appearing last night & taking down Reload.
@kevg14 seems to be very consistent & makes a lot of FT's & so it was last night, winning 9 @ 9 after finishing 5th in the Mini.
@Richie_L did well to be the last man standing on a very hot Quickdraw FT.
@return is not a player we hear a great deal about but he's solidly profitable, more so after winning last night's MidEx.
I'm done, off to watch what remains of Forest v Brighton.
