This day last year
"@pooochy has been here a dozen years or more without attracting too much attention, until recently, with wins in a UKOPS, a Turbo, a MidEx in the last month or two, & just last Monday, a Marksman Main. Then, last night, they far exceeded all that & took down the Major which takes a bit of winning, & for good measure ran 2nd in Turbo. There was quite a surprise in 2nd, which went to @scotland85 who has been here a very long time but barely played & certainly never shown this level of form previously. Even better, they ran 4th in the Mini, so collected a nice £500 FTJ bonus. As Alan Clark famously used to say, ACHAB, or in this case more correctly, ACHAP. @mainspring - one to watch? - was 3rd, with @Solack 6th.
@GFKIJKLL won the Mini Major, adding to to wins already this month in £6k BH, Sheriff (4 times), Quickdraw (twice), a Mega & a £500 BH. What a year he's having, he done equally well in January as I recall. Sharky show him as the 2nd most profitable MTT-er on Sky Poker in 2024, beaten only by @Thoich who won two of those Stack Builder Freerolls, each of which was worth £2,700. 3rd was @235467 who clocked up victories in 7 @ 7 & Mega earlier in the week.
After running 2nd in Saturday's 9 @ 9, @FAS moved up the gears last night & won the £6k BH.
@StayOrGo came out on top of a star-studded Sheriff, beating a FT that included @mysteryreg @NChanning @GFKIJKLL @MikeyW94 & @loololollo. Later, @StayOrGo completed a win double by taking the MidEx down. Might be my imagination, but I seem to think Graham does better later in the evenings.
It was another good session for @grinddd who won Turbo, won a seat to the Major via a £24 satellite & min-cashed for over £200, and also won a seat to SPT Brighton, so hopefully we'll get to meet them this weekend.
In Reload it was a @PAPABURG @snoxx11 1-2. We saw a quite splendid example of spoonersism in 6th place which went to @BugeHollox
SPT Brighton seats went to @scuba61 and @grinddd.
On the subject of SPT Brighton, if you are travelling down by train from the North or North East, be aware that LNER & Northern are on strike on Friday & have an overtime ban on Saturday."

I'm unable to do the usual write-up today due to time issues. The same will apply next weekend (weekend in London) & the weekend after (SPT Brighton) but all being well normal service will resume tomorrow.
