"Gold Rush Main went to @HUGHMANSwho despite appalling taste in music seems to be quite a decent poker player. Has been here since 2008, so in his 16th or 17th year with Sky Poker. Can't recall him winning too many Main Events, certainly not in the last few years. Well done Champ. Was a tough FT which included last Thursday's Main winner @BBORU7 who also prevailed in last night's 7 @ 7. @chrisdboy@Upswing@johnny_e &@destinycod completed the line-up of a really competitive FT.
Was a tough Mini FT too, with @Kahuna96 coming out on top. He has 7 or 8 Mains to his credit, including two Avengers, plus a Summit, so he's plenty useful.
Summit almost always produces a high quality FT & winner & so it proved again last night with @destinycod coming out on top. He had yet another terrific session, playing just 4 MTT's, & making the FT of all 4 - 6th in the Main, 1st in Summit, 2nd in Turbo & 6th in Quickdraw. Sadly, I don't think he plans to be at SPT Brighton, which is a real shame as he's fun to play against, or, more correctly, fun to share tables with. 2nd was @johnny_e who was 5th in the Main, then came @Thoich@Jessieak@Sharki0 & @TIMBER. It's often said that Sky Poker is a "soft site", but if you end up on a table with that lot you may find reason to disagree.
I don't have much data on @CANBLUFF but he had a decent day, winning an early afternoon 73 runner £300 BH, then following up by taking the 179 runner £1k BH.
The quaintly-aliased @Uarebumboyhas already won a Main & a MidEx this year, & added Mega last night.
@snoxx11 has some big results on his CV including winning Summit twice but plays more comfortable stakes these days & does just fine, latest result being 1st in last night's 9 @ 9.
Las night's SPT Brighton Semi Final was the triultimate one (is triultimate a word, or is it just penultimate + 1?) & attracted the biggest field yet, 19 runners, meaning 3 seats & £200. The seats all went to first time winners - @daveyb147@Scratchy26 & @AndyHanakwith the "odd" £200 finding it's way into the bulging purse of @karlluke
That's it for today. From tomorrow until Monday, write-ups may have to be "lite" due to SPT Brighton, but normal scribbleage will resume on Tuesday, God willing."
A quiet night, typical Monday in a way, with some £353 in overlay spread across 6 events. Time of month I assume.
In a way, last night was all about @ozzieowen who conjured up a remarkable hat-trick of wins in 9 @ 9, Turbo & Quickdraw. In particular, the latter two had tough FT line-ups, &, somewhat surprisingly, @bigfatfish@Natnug & @Woebegone all made the same two of those finals (Turbo & Quickdraw) only to lose to Ozzie both times. He was also 5th in the Main & 2nd in the Rebuy BH. With 4 days left in February he's already won 9 Featured MTT's this month - 2 x Sheriff, 2 x Quickdraw, Turbo, MidEx & 9 @ 9. Overall is hugely profitable at both Cash & MTT's & Sharky suggest he's over £100,000 in profit, though I suspect that underestimates him. Again, using Sharky numbers, off a £17 ABI he has 29% ROI over a 22,500 sample size. Seems a decent bloke judging by his Table Chat where he rarely types anything except "gl". Like everyone else he has his downswings, but he spares us the wawawa stuff that so many indulge themselves in when the wind is temporarily in their faces. I really do think that many of today's generation of poker players seem to struggle with adversity. That's the beauty of poker, it exposes our character & mettle (or lack of...).
@Natnug, twice a beaten finalist in that Ozzie treble, did have the consolation of winning Sheriff, so three FT's, finishing 1st, 4th & 6th is not so bad really. Even so, in the 2025 Sharky MTT Leaderboard (for Sky Poker) which he's won for the last 3 years he's currently down in 4th & still some way off the leader, Drewett. Have the Sky Poker massive finally got Nathan's number?
The Main went to @Mazzybabe. Celebrated 2 years here earlier this month, & just 293 MTT's (almost never plays cash) & often 1-tables, as he did last night. It as his second Main event win, & he's made 13 Main FT's. Another player who is generally amiable in the chatbox. It's quite the fashion these days to abuse everyone (in Online poker, not Live, obv) which is not something I really understand. Almost everyone on Sky Poker is a recreational, playing as a hobby, for fun, & I'm not sure insulting everyone is my idea of fun, but hey, welcome to 2025.
The Mini went to @XXX9XXXwhich looks like an entry on a Pools Coupon, though I wonder how many here remember doing "the Pools"?
@chelv2016 is a Reload "regular" if you can call playing just 7 times so far in 2025 a "regular" but they were all Reloads, so he'll have enjoyed getting 1st place last night.
A short report today as so many of the featured events were won by the serial winners & I've run out of things to say about most of them. Even so, well done to @tonyp142 (£800BH) @GFKIJKLL (7 @ 7) & @Richrash93 (MidEx).
In the SPT Semi, there were no "alias dramas" last night, with seats going to @scuba61 & @miraj1987 with the odd £50 going to @esme180

Among those chasing @XXX9XXX home on the FT were @loololollo (2nd) & @steveysee (4th). @loololollo went on to win Mega though by way of consolation.
