"Traffic was a bit all over the place last night, with a big miss in the Main, & smaller misses in Mini, Mega, 9 @ 9, Reload & MidEx. Hopefully, much of the absent traffic was over on the cash tables, taking advantage of Power Hours.
Down at SPT Brighton, I shared tables for a while with @StayOrGo. Graham does not hang around, or wait for big hands to come, he's all action from the get go, & you never quite know where you are with him. After a series of setbacks - good play but bad timing - Graham was quite short & three of us got it all-in, my Q-Q the best hand by far, but I ended up 2nd best, Graham third best, with the 9-9 of my neighbour getting the lot. It's swings & roundabouts in poker though, as we all know, & @StayOrGo won last night's Main to add around £1,100 to his bulging coffers. In 2nd place was @reeler who won his seat in a £7.20 satellite, & earned himself ~£740, so more than 100 times his outlay. Very nice. In 3rd was @Rolty666 who also made the FT - just - in the Mini, finishing 6th, so he gets £150 of FTJ cash. @Rolty666 is in his 5th year with Sky Poker, & has already won Hitman Main twice.
A month almost to the day since last winning the Mini, @FlynTimber won it again. Quite the CV, including several BWBH's, a Summit, various UKOPS, several Mains (including Avenger) but, rather surprisingly, has never won the Major, best result so far being 2nd to @TONY509 a couple of years ago.
7 @ 7 went to the unusually aliased @25 which is a new one on me. No clues to gender in that name, is there? Been here 15+ years but negligible volume, only previous mention I can find was 3rd in 7 @ 7 last October.
The £1k BH fell to @MARK277 who won Sharpshooter Mini 10 days ago. He won the 2020 Autumn UKOPS opener in 2020 & has won the Mini 8 times. In 2nd was @Enut, who somehow mixed formats successfully, as he was 6th in the big nightly PLO8. Very tough to play NLH & PLO8 simultaneously imo, especially for someone of his age.
A great night for @gooner1955 who won the Rebuy BH while, one assumes, watching Arteta's Arsenal thrash Sheffield United 6-0. Only previous result I can find for @gooner1955 was winning Predator Main two months ago. Plenty of big wins for the Arsenal though, right?
While @StayOrGo was busy winning the Main, his Son, @Limp2Lose was making it a family double by winning Sheriff.
@Limp2Lose was later to run 3rd in Quickdraw. Winner was @Swog, just 24 hours after he binked he Sunday evening £6,000 BH.
Think that'll have to do for today, as I ease myself back in to the daily routine after a wonderful weekend down at SPT Brighton."
After a thin week MTT traffic bounced back a treat the last 2 nights. "Time of month" is hugely relative in online gaming for all sorts of reasons.
We saw a cracking Sunday Major FT, the Sharky ratings of the FT must have averaged around 92 & it was tough to spot the table mark. When the dust settled @cabbaz was the winner, & that means he's now won SIX Sunday Majors. He was followed home by @loosecamel who was recording his third runner-up in the Major with the amiable & svelte Scot @roddy28 in 3rd. The Top 6 were completed by @gaming123@ego_death & @Powerpok3r. Some line-up that. Nearest we got to a FTJ was @Natnug who was 12th in the Major & 15th in the Mini. Good efforts by @whizzewky (9th) & 11th placed @SpigZ who only qualified last night via the Sunday Major Freeroll.
In the Mini Major @Solack must have fancied his chances when heads-up but it was @GrymR who eventually grabbed top spot. Looked like a very competitive affair, with @bbMike (3rd), @rancid (4th) @FlynTimber (5th) & @bert21 (6th). Falling just short of the FT in 8th was @MAXALLY with @steveyseein 10th.
@Rutster19 won the £5k BH, his third win inside a week. 2nd was @TONY509 with @davtherav3rd & @ego_death in 4th, 1 spot better than he managed in the Major.
Not content with 1st place in the Major, @cabbaz won Sheriff too. The Podium was completed by @Tedson& @GFKIJKLL with an exceptional effort in 5th b by @SilverRiz & @loolollol in 6th. 4th was @NChanning - he makes the Sheriff FT almost by default these days but he went home empty-handed on this occasion. Talking of Neil Channing, did anyone see him on yesterday's "Luck On Sunday"? He's had his hair poshed up & looks about 30 years younger, I've never seen him look so young & healthy. For a man in his late 50's he looks amazing. Think we ought to call him Peter Pan.
A lovely night for @tybasolwho only played 1 MTT - the £800 BH - & he won it. Most efficient.
7 @ 7 went to @fulldozer, that's the third time he's won it, he also does well in the 18.30 BH which he's won 5 times.
The £1k Rebuy BH went to @PICKLE33who won a 9 @ 9 last Autumn.
@utang had his best result so far in 2025 in winning 9 @ 9.
A month to the day since winning the Rebuy BH, @NoPROHere_ followed up with 1st place in Reload.
A bigger than usual field for the SPT Semi with 3 seats on offer, @PRHack93 & @L_L_S_B both getting their first seat, & @destinycod winning his third seat, the first player to do so. He's way too good, & nobody will want to share tables with him in Brighton.
