This day last year

"The swings & swongs of MTT traffic are a perfect demonstration of variance, so maybe it was no great surprise that after a really testing week or so, last night's £5,000 Main came in at a very handsome £6,000. And that was despite Arteta's mighty Arsenal being on TV. Tonight? I fancy the Main will struggle to cover Guarantee.

@mikeEEe took the Main. Tends to only play the Main, & usually only if he wins a satellite. Well he won a sat to Monday's Main & pocketed the cash, using it to enter last night's Main, going home with ~£1,100. Been with Sky Poker around 14 years but very thin volume, but this was his 2nd Main event win, as he took down a Sharpshooter in February 2022. In 2nd was @dazadude making their thread debut & very modestly rated by Sharky, so that suggests a great performance, & perhaps a PB. Was a decent FT, completed by @bakersdoze @claudel9 @whitters95 & @MAGPIETYKE.

Stunning scenes in the 339 runner Mini, which went to @Smccaff. Never heard of him? That's because he only signed up yesterday. Played 4 or 5 MTT's & DYM's & then went on a quite extraordinary run, here's his last 4 MTT's;

3.30pm; 1/62 in a £5.50 entry £300 BH.

8pm; 1/162 in a £2.20 entry £400 BH

8.30pm 1/339 in the £5.50 entry Mini

09.00am this morning, 1/36 in a £5.50 entry £150 BH

By any standards, that's some sequence, especially for a NKOTB. Be very interesting to see how he progresses. Definitely one for the notebook.

As usual, Summit was very competitive, with @tonyp142 the last man standing. 2nd was @fishhhhh then @GoldNug22 @Limp2Lose @MikeyW94 & @Sharki0. What a FT that was. @tonyp142 has ticked off most of his Featured MTT bingo card, including two Majors, two Summits, a few UKOPS, a BWBH, and several Mains including Avenger & Sharpshooter.

@kettle9930 had a short but enjoyable sesh, 14/68 in a £300 BH, 12/201 in the £1k BH & then 1/50 in the new £500 BH.

@mrtee who has notched up wins in both Sharpshooter & Gold Rush Main has been quiet of late, until taking the win in last night's Mega.

Afternoon.

Three spots of overlay with a combined cost of £275 was much better than expected considering it was a Monday, and of course the day after the SPT, plus West Ham v Newcastle was on MNF.

The Main went to @paul10 playing just his third MTT this month & eighth in the last 4 weeks. Am not sure why he does not play more frequently here, he has a great record including wins in all the weekday Mains with the possible exception of Gold Rush, plus any number of victories in Sheriff & MidEx. Sharky rate him at 88. In 4th was @Super_Oli who was close to FTJ money (12th in Mini), he also won a seat to the Vegas Semi & was 2nd in Sheriff.

@yayo won the Mini but the Forum search function thinks it is "yoyo" (Julian Thew) & brings up the wrong results, so it's tough to see his CV. What I can see for sure is that over a small sample size of under 200 MTT's he's got a very high ROI. 2nd was @FlynTimber who had two great wins last month - Hitman Main & BWBH. @GGGGCCCC won his entry via the MML & put it to good use, finishing 4th, having earlier finished 5th in a £300 Rebuy.

A month ago @keith1963 was 4th in the £800 BH since when we've barely seen him, just 4 MTT's but he showed up in fine fettle last night & took 1st place in the £800 BH this time.

It's been a while since @MadHunter appeared in these threads but he's been going along nicely & returned to winning ways in last night's 7 @ 7.

@rossifumi won the Rebuy BH having been 2nd in a £100 BH a day earlier. Has had plenty of good results in the early evening stuff during the last few years.

Congratulations to @pokiface who joined us last Summer & after playing just a few dozen MTT's had his first featured MTT win last night, taking down the Mega.

After running 3rd in Sheriff exactly a week earlier, @kenmillon took 1st place last night. He did well too, as it was a tough FT with 4 top class players - @Super_Oli @ozzieowen @loolollol & @Gambelo, plus @Swifteyyeu.

It's taken @Somniboy 6 years to play just 44 MTT's so Sky Poker won't be getting rich off him anytime soon, but he's been playing more frequently of late & after winning last night's 9 @ 9 maybe he'll get the taste.

Huge cheers for @XXXii88 who after 16 tough years here had his best ever result last night, 1st place in Reload. Bet that felt great, & hopefully now that he's broken the ice there'll be plenty more to come.

@Bawbaggio has won MidEx more times than enough & he added to his impressive tally of victories last night.

That'll do for today. It's good to get back into the routine, but the first day back is always tough due to fatigue & adrenalin hangover etc.
