After that hilariously embarrassing security leak, we now know - officially - what the USA Government thinks of Europe.
At one point in the thread the Vance account griped that the strikes would benefit the Europeans, because of their reliance on those shipping lanes, adding: "I just hate bailing Europe out again."
The user identified as Hegseth responded three minutes later: "VP: I fully share your loathing of European free-loading. It's PATHETIC."

This day last year
"A fairly quiet night traffic-wise. A handful of events experienced overlay, but in every case it was vey minor & of no real significance. One oddity is that yesterday I mentioned how, despite a quiet evening the £5.50 PLO8 came in at near record levels, 69 entries & £345. Well it was in similar territory last night, £335 & 67 entries this time. PLO8 seems to live in it's own little world, God bless it.
Starting today with Summit, it was @loololollo who emerged top of the pile. Decent night for him, he also won the £1k BH, was 2nd in 9 @ 9, 7 won a seat to the Main in a satellite. He was the best performing player in the 2023 SPT Las Vegas, which is my cue to remind you that qualifying for SPT Las Vegas will be starting next week. I'll be very surprised & disappointed if @loololollo does not qualify again. Returning to last night's Summit, as expected, it was a tough old FT, with @PBKR @duonross @ra1d @Thoich & The Notorious @Gobbleoff respectively following the winner home.
Turning now to last night's Main, if you played it, & these things matter to you - & I know it does to many of you - at time of writing, Sharky don't seem to have picked this one up, it is not showing. That aside, the winner was our man @GSmith13 who returned having been AWOL since last Friday. Just 3 featured MTT wins this month - last night's Main, MidEx & 7 @ 7 - but to be fair, he's been MIA most of the month & so has only played 50 or 60 MTT's. Runner-up was @DunkinFish who also satted in to Summit, with Danny @Itsover4u in third.
A big turnout for the Mini, 342 entries, with @Gooner1961 grabbing 1st place. He had a decent evening, as he also ran 5th in a late afternoon £300 BH. 2nd was @dryden97 with @pokarito 3rd.
Was delighted to see an old friend of mine, @Mohican take the 9 @ 9. He does not play much or often these days, mainly 1-tabling bits & bobs but back in the day he had a cracking game & once picked up £40,000 for 5th place at a Sky UKPC at DTD. He used to have some really cool motorbikes - proper big sexy jobs - but he's too old for that sort of thing now & probably drives around in an Austin Allegro or Fiat 500 these days.
@al393 won Sheriff a few nights ago, then followed up last night by taking down the toughest Quickdraw I can recall, with a FT that included @Jessieak @AlexaAJ @GSmith13 @StayOrGo & @Steed432. Toughest FT of the night? Hard to say - Turbo was pretty formidable too, with @destinycod beating the likes of @scousescum @GSmith13 @tonyp142 @Natnug & @Thoich.
That new £500 BH at 19.35 went to @kettle9930 who many of you won't remember, but back in the day he played at much bigger stakes & did very well indeed, with eight or nine 4-figure cashes which included 1st place in a £10,000 BH, & 2nd in a Sunday Major.
That's it for today. Was hard work today, some days the words don't come easily."
Morning.
As expected & presumably budgeted for, the England game badly impacted MTT traffic & overlay came in at £982 spread across 7 events. Worst culprits were Main (£190), Mini (£210), Sheriff (£100), Turbo (£250) & MidEx (£100), with insignificant misses in 9 @ 9 & Quickdraw. Makes one wonder what traffic will be like when the World Cup takes place next year, especially as last night's game was not exactly competitive - England were priced at 1/100 by many firms. I'll admit to watching the first 20 minutes but then I fell asleep.
Big big surprise in last night's Main as @IShipUMuck took top spot. It was his first MTT here in 9 months, & only 5th MTT since November 2021. He has been here since 2011, played some 270 MTT's & prior to last night his biggest cash was £185 for finishing 12th in a 2018 Sunday Major. Having said that, his play is split almost equally between cash games, SNG's & MTT's & he seems profitable at all 3 disciplines. This is his thread debut, although he has appeared in various Spin Up & SNG Vegas Leaderboards over the years. @conga38 only played 3 MTT's last night, finishing 3rd in the Main, 10th in the Mini & 6th in MidEx. @Bauer has suddenly become very active indeed, & for the 2nd time in less than a week finished 6th in the Main. @ozzieowen was 2nd but we'll deal with him later.
The Mini went to @petman05 who has been here 17 years without causing any fuss or bother & has always been mildly profitable. I recall him writing into the TV show one night & telling us how lucky he had got in a hand. I remember that because, as a general rule, players NEVER admit to getting lucky, but of course some of them whine & whinge like a spoilt child when they encounter a bit of bad luck. Jeez, nothing worse in poker than those "I'm the unluckiest player in the world" sorts.
Even by his exalted standards, @loololollo is enjoying a hot spell. After winning both the Sunday Major & Sheriff 24 hours earlier, he won Sheriff again last night. In addition he was 2nd three times - twice in £300 BH's & also in a Timed affair, oh, & he won TWO seats to the main in which he finished 13th. He currently sits 5th in the Sky Poker 2025 Sharky MTT Profit leader board, but the top ten are covered by a few thou. Might this be the year that the mighty @Natnug loses top spot? I always thought he was a bit lucky. Returning to last night's Sheriff, @NChanning made the FT, but I doubt you needed me to tell you that, as he seems to do it every night. Slightly less predictably he ran 2nd in Turbo & 3rd in a £300 BH. Age does not seem to be dulling his poker abilities, does it?
And if @loololollo is running (& playing) well, how about @ozzieowen? Last night's haul for Ozzie Bloke included 1st in Quickdraw, 1st in Reload, 2nd in the Main & 3rd in Mega. Extraordinary. These guys get the same cards as us, are subject to the same vagaries of luck & variance, & yet somehow they win time & time again. How do they do it? I really have no idea, but it's safe to say they play at a different level to most of us.
A month ago @Tommydxb ran 4th in the £800 BH since when he pretty much disappeared, playing only thrice since, but he got his belated revenge last night to win the same one.
In the last week @addy70 has made the FT of both 7 @ 7 & MidEx, which is quite unusual as they are at different ends of the evening & most players don't play sessions of that length. Anyway, he did it again last night, winning 7 @ 7 & finishing 4th in MidEx.
Most evenings @tonewar plays just 2 MTT's - the Rewards Freeroll & Rebuy BH - & last night he won the latter. He seems to relish the Rebuy BH, notching wins in in in three successive months (Oct/Nov/Dec) last year.
Mega went to @snoxx11 who was also 3rd in Turbo & 4th in Reload. When you've played best part of 9,000 MTT's here it's hard to make your Sharky graph move much, but his has taken a marked upturn. With almost a week of March remaining, his featured MTT haul this month alone includes 1st places in Turbo, Reload (twice), Mega, MidEx, 9 @ 9 (twice), plus 2nd place in an Avenger Main.
Big Boy Watch? Apart from those already mentioned, Turbo went to @gambelo & @FlynTimber took MidEx.
My OCD was alerted by the 19.18 PLO8 which saw a "CCC 1-2-3" in the shape of @CLARETBOY @claire1973 & @Claudecat.
Three familiar names too the Sunday Major seats in the Freeroll - @suitnboot @MAXALLY & @ILIKE2FISH.
Think that's about it for today.
