"MTT traffic was pretty decent, no overlay except for Sheriff which came up 4 entries shy. Sadly (for online poker) this weekend sees the clocks go forward, meaning "lighter nights". As a consequence, online poker traffic right across the northern hemisphere drops significantly, & guarantees have to be cut. The usual suspects will moan & suggest "Sky Poker is dying" as they do every year, then come the Autumn, when guarantees go back up, they stay schtum. Welcome to the marvellously myopic world of poker.
Quite an interesting result in the Main which went to @basher5 who has been here since around 2009 but played, relatively speaking, very little. I don't have much data on him but as far as I can tell this was far & away his best result ever, & curiously, his 2nd best result was just last Friday when he was 2nd in Avenger Main. That's some upturn in results after 15 years here, especially as Sharky only award him a modest 58 rating. He won last night's £33 entry in a £7.20 satellite too. Well done basher. 2nd was @5ausages with @snoxx11 3rd. I suppose it depends how your mind works, but @snoxx11 can either be considered very lucky, or very unlucky, as that's the 2nd time in 4 nights he's been 5th in a Main. In 4th place was @luvBWFC
The Mini went to @TURN_IT_IN who had a deep run in Reload on Wednesday night. It was a memorable night for @Mumfdog who ran 2nd, having earlier won a Sunday Major seat in the nightly Freeroll. In 4th was @luvBWFC & those who are paying attention will have noticed also ran 4th in the Main, so that's a lovely £200 FTJ cash bonus for what I assume to be a Bolton fan. I was a little shocked to notice recently that they are now a League One side. Jeez, it does not seem long since they were in the Premier League, & I seem to recall they qualified for the EUFA Cup one year.
@Asho28has had a dream run of late, winning the Mini twice in 4 days last week, & he added the £1k BH to his trophy cupboard last night. He also ran 3rd in the weekly £400 PLO8. He's actually quite a dab hand at O8 despite what he may say.@thedazzman is another who has been doing well & he was 4th in the Mini.
Congrats go to @lundie who won that "new" £500 BH @ 19.35 for the second straight night.
@Slim_Jape won 7 @ 7 for the third time in 6 months & 4th time in all.
8 days after joining Sky Poker @Dunnie93 had their first proper win, taking down Mega.
@Swog is becoming a proper Big Boy these days, & as well as winning Quickdraw, he won a nice MTT on Party which netted him just shy of $5,000.
Apologies to all the NHL players, but for me, best news of the night was the £400 PLO8 beating guarantee with 32 entries & 10 rebuys. Excellent news. Something of a curious result, with @bottler365taking the win. Curious? Been here 8 years but the account appears to have been completely dormant until last night & this was their first ever MTT here. Later in the evening they played a £1 heads up PLO8 against a solid player & won that too. One to keep an eye on. 2nd was @steveysee which was one of FIVE FT's he made last night. As mentioned earlier, PLO8 "dark horse" @Asho28 was 3rd.
There, I'm done. Was meant to be a "mini" report as it's Good Friday but I got a bit carried away."
Before I get started today, I have no idea if many/any of you read the "This day last year" feature I post every day but here's a curious thing. This day last year I wrote this, & it refers to the now defunct £400 guaranteed PLO8 that ran briefly...

Just out of curiosity, I had a look this morning to see what happened subsequently to our friend @bottler365, who had been here 8 years without playing anything at all. Well he won that £400 PLO8 on his site debut, won that £1 Heads Up later in the evening..... and has never been seen on the site since. Isn't that the weirdest thing? I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation but I've no idea what it might be. Sometimes I regret having an enquiring mind. Sometimes...
Anyway, on to last night now. MTT traffic was surprisingly decent for a Wednesday, helped no doubt by the Football International Break. There was a Ladies CL Match on TV, Arsenal v Real Madrid (well done Arsenal), which I suppose was quite a big deal in the world of Women's Football, but even though I'm very "pro" towards women's sports I just can't bring myself to watch any of it, with the glorious exception of golf, where the standard the Ladies play astounds me. Anyway, the upshot of all that is that Overlay only amounted to £153, of which £135 arose in the Mini, the other £18 came from Reload. Flesh wounds, right?
Winner of the Main was @TONY509 and it's hard for me to go into much detail about him as he's not opted-in on Sharky, but a search of the Forum threw up lots of "TONY509 WINS THE MAIN AGAIN" sort of headlines, and that includes win(s?) in the Sunday Major too. It's a lot easier for me to talk about the runner-up @lJAMESl as he is (or was until we lost touch somewhat) a personal friend & a lovely lad who was very kind to me on my 65th birthday all those years ago, he gave me THE most thoughtful (& very expensive) gift. His biggest wins on Sky Poker were in the period between 2010 & 2015 when his big results included individual cashes of £15,494, £7,280, £4,015, £3,540 & £2,980, & as recently as last month he won a Sunday Major for £3,485. In the Live Arena you may recall he won the 2011 SPT Grand Final for some £22,000. What a day that was. He's won some proper big stuff "Live" too including some £122,000 for an 888 thing in London in 2018.
I took at look at his "Hendon" this morning, & see that lifetime he's had cashes amounting to $806,649 lifetime from 104 different events.
By way of comparison & to give context, I've had almost the same number of Hendon cashes - 109 - but only for $392,366, so his average cash is more than twice mine. Meh.
In football terms, he's in the Champo or Premier League, & I play in the Lowestoft & District League Six.
@mcg899 had a decent night, winning the Mini & 2nd in Sheriff. Runner-up in the Mini was @RogueCell who later finished 3rd in Reload. She's not on Sharky these days so I can't give you chapter & verse, but she was runner-up in one of the first ever SPT's which was held at The Broadway in Birmingham. I can't recall who won it I'm sorry to say. I can tell you one oddity about @RogueCell though, she's one of the very few fully qualified female cricket umpires. Now that's a rare stat. Oh, & she ran very deep in last year's 11,749 runner Goliath. And no, that's not a typo. 11,749 runners. As an aside, it was £160 + £40 reg fee to enter (yup, 25% juice) so the reg fees amounted to £469,960. Good grief.
The @snoxx11Express continues to rattle along at a fair lick & last night he won Sheriff & was 4th in Reload. Doubt he's had a more productive month, his wins include Sheriff, Turbo, Reload (twice), Mega, MidEx & 9 @ 9 (twice). That's just greedy.
I don't know what to say about @loololollo who won the Rebuy BH. That means in the last 4 nights he's won the Sunday Major, Summit, Sheriff (twice) & Rebuy BH. If he were a racehorse he'd get a 10lb penalty.
@smartca627 won the £800 BH. In all my years here I'm struggling to recall a more polite or nicer gentleman. Does not count for much these days I know, but it counts for a great deal in my book. Well done bud, & I hope you & yours are keeping well.
I know very little about 7 @ 7 winner @helsdogs3 but I do seem to recall he used to frequent the nightly PLO8 Comps & did OK.
@Potsymoore won a 9 @ 9 last month & did so again last night. Other FT's this month include Mini Sharpshooter, Mini Major and a 9 @ 9 in which he was 2nd.
Reload was eclipsed by @chrissydee who has some very solid form in the book including wins in both Hitman Main & Hitman Mini in 2022.
@peanutmanhas not been sighted on the MTT tables for a fortnight, until showing up last night, regging for exactly 1 game - Reload - & winning it. Probably not see them for another fortnight now. Great alias that. Anyone remember the Percy Dalton peanut seller at football matches back in the day?
@jas69 took MidEx again, is a bit of a MidEx specialist, although their previous win last month was a 9 @ 9.

I'd say that's enough for today, & I can imagine you all saying that's more than enough. Fair.
