So now Luka Donic will be automatically banned for the next game against the Mavs which would have been the game of the season.

what for? because he smiled after scoring a tough shot and now the biggest game of the season has being ruined. and the entire lakers season is now over as this means Luka will automatically be banned for two games and so Lakers will be in the playin now.

How dare Luka commit such a horrible iredeamable action of being happy after he scored a difficult shot. As we know whenever you accomplish anything impressive you should show no happiness what so ever, and should remain miserable and stone faced.

Btw there may be elements of sarcasm in this post.

....and here's what really happened. Donic argued with the Referee for which he was correctly given a Technical. He claimed afterwards that he was talking to someone in the crowd, but you can judge for yourself who he was talking to....

with respect your comment is completely wrong, the link you provided is Luka Donic playing for the Mavs vs the thunder. The Game I was referring to was last night.

Luka Donic was traded away from the Mavs to the Lakers. The evil Billionaires that took over the Mavs insulted Luka Donic calling him fat Lazy and alleging he had a bad work ethic.
They have been relentless and persistent in this narrative, which is why I am no longer a Mavs fan and boo the Mavs but support the Lakers ( who Luka was traded to). In truth I am not really a Lakers fan I am a Luka Donic fan, if Luka Donic ended up playing for say the Nuggets I would be a Nuggets fan.
The reason Lakers vs Mavs is supposed to be arguably the biggest game of the season is because of the way the Mavs have completely and totally betrayed Luka.
Note again Luka now plays for the Lakers not the Mavs, the Mavs traded him away and have done nothing but insult him persistently in the media ever since.

You have got completely the wrong game and thus a completely different incident. Whilst I am a Luka fan I am not going to claim the guy can do no wrong, Yes he has reputation for been critical of the refs and complaining. However in the last nights game both tecs were very soft and ridciolous, and the second tec should never have been called. Luka was responding to a fan who he has an established banter rivalery with, after he made a difficult shot. He should not be ejected for that. Most of the NBA fans news articles and comments are saying the Ref decision was terrible. In fact Even the fan himself came out and said this is a banter thing he and Luka have done before.

anyway I was wrong because Gemmi (the new winni pic creator) said two tec= a one game ban and luka had 16 tecs which would be another ban but it was wrong on both accounts so Luka is not suspended. It turns out Gemmi is almost as bad as you are for getting current accurate information about the NBA.

So tonight should be a good game routing for Luka Donic against the Evil Billionaires who betrayed him. This will be a proper grudge game.

anyway it should be an interesting game, Mavs have come court Lakers supposodly are a better team right now but Mavs also have another big advantage size, Lakers weakness is lacking big men and coming up against the giants of gafford Lively and Anthony Davis could pose a massive size disadvantage for the Lakers. It should be a tough game which could go either way and I will be routing for Luka against the Giants.

what a game!!! and Luka got his revenge!!!
    45 points 8 rebounds 6 assists and 4 steals!!! on a 26 plus minus!
    Luka went off!!
Lakers won incredible from Luka who dominated the first half, and when things were looking bad Lebron came to the rescue too and they both slaughtered!!!

The giants at the Mavs could not stop Luka Magic!!!

was nice to see the lakers players all rally round and support Luka getting revenge against the Evil Billionaires

    What a game.

fair this battle was won by Luka but it looks like this will be a hard fought war rivalry for many years to come. The initial battles have being won for Luka but the war has only just begun.

I like a good rivalry and hopefully many more years of entertainment.

the tech given on Luka has been rescinded, the NBA does rarely discusses disciplinary action on refs so we cannot know what penalties the ref will or wont face but the NBA has officially acknowledged the decision was incorrect and the officiating was bad in that game.

This of course wont fix what happened that game we were robbed of what likely would have been a thrilling finish between two of the main title contenders. The Lakers would have needed to win all their last games and the Rockets lose all their last games for the Lakers to have come 2nd. Whilst this may have sounded like it was unlikely it is not as far fetched as one may initially think upon hearing that.

the Rockets next game was against the clippers who had a lot to fight for considering how tight the western conference is. The rockets did lose that game but we cant really say a lot about that, because the rockets had already secured second spot following the Lakers loss (largely caused by this ejection) and thus played their bench. We will never know who would have won that game had The lakers beaten the Thunder which there was a good chance of happening before this ejection.

Following that the Rockets next game will be the lakers now if the Lakers would have won against the thunder and the rockets lost against the Clippers then Rockets Lakers game would have being a war as if the lakers win that then both teams have only one game remaining and the Rockets last game would have being against the Nuggets who based on how close the conference is likely would still have a lot to play for.

so because of this bad decision two massive games were ruined, and potentially even four games. Plus this may affect playoff ceding which could ruin teams entire season. It is likely that the Lakers would have finished 3rd anyway but this was far from certain and this affects more things further Eg maybe with a full strength side against the clippers the Rockets win which okay leaves Lakers in a similar position if so but the clippers now getting an easy win that they may well have lost literally directly affects the ceding of 5 teams if we include the clippers in that.

this refs bad decision has potentially affected most of the western conference.

Initially I was furious as I thought it would ruin my teams chances, and would rule out Luka for the big Revenge game which I had been waiting for since February. It now looks like neither of that applies but we will never know for sure, I mean unless the Lakers win the first round and then beat the Rockets in the second round without injuring or tiring any key players for what would then be the conference finals.

I am right to be annoyed by the terrible decision and other officiating in that game, but ultimately the league has admitted this and we will never know what if any disciplinary action the ref faced for such a bad performance.

We better not get the Warriors in the first round. Realisticlly we should be able to get past anyone in the western conference except the Warriors or the Thunder, we may get past those two but thats tough thats a war.

the Big three in the West is the Thunder the Lakers and the Warriors. The league may paint a different picture but first of all trades changed the dynamic and further the conference is very very tight. The Bookies agree with me on this if you look at the title odds, so this isnt just my weird take. Most of the NBA world agree with me on this. If we get Warriors in the first round I am blaming that ref.

Well with the kings being blatenty fouled in the final seconds and no call, and that ejection from the other game it now looks certain we will face the warriors in the first round.

Who would win that well that would be debatable no one knows. That is unless Lebron had not injured in todays game and he likely will be out for at least the first series of the playoffs and we cant beat the Warriors without Lebron. We wouldnt have played Lebron in this game to get injured if it wasnt for that awful ejection losing us a game we would of won now though the season is over its all done season over because of bad ref.

  • DoublemeDoubleme Member Posts: 2,343
ok so Lebron isnt injured for the playoffs but now if the Warriors win we will have the hardest route possible for the playoffs. If the clippers win we will have the wolves in the first found not easy but there are no easy series in the west the Wolves are a better option then the Warriors though.

Do I think the Lakers would beat the Warriors? honestly flip a coin it could go either way but the big Three title contenders in the west are the Thunder the Lakers and the Warriors.

After that clippers or Rockets who face each other in the event of a warriors win. Then we face the winners of that in the next round.

So basically if the Warriors win we have to face all the toughest teams in our playoff run so its just aggregate odds multiplied together you could say we can win one or two of those series but asking any team to win every single series against all the toughest teams is a big ask.

So it will make life so much easier if the clippers win tomorrow we would never have being in this horrible spot if it wasnt for that Nasty Ref either rigging or being incompetent cant be in his head so dont know which option it was.

and a shock win saves the Lakers from the run of **** play off series!!!

as clippers shock the NBA in overtime and take the win. This now means Lakers will play the Wolfs in the first round. Anthony Edwards and Gobert are no joke as I said there are no easy opponents in the west but it means that we wont have to go through the Thunder Rockets and Warriors to come out the west. Now likely we face two of the three, but at least it wont be three of the three. it cant be now.

What a game what a shock!

early morning yesterday the mavs tried to hold a press conference to talk about the Luka situation where only chosen journalists were allowed and no camera or recording equipment was allowed.

Last night the golden state warriors won to secure 7th seed and play Houston Rockets in the first round. So If Luka wins the series against the Wolves (he is the favourite) then they would play the winner of the rockets and warriors.

and its all kicking off My girlfriends team The bucks face off against the Pacers and she hates the pacers because of history here. Desperatly wants to avoid a first round exit again especially to the Pacers. I need the bucks to win for a peaceful home

but prior to all this sadly the Evil Billionaires beat the kings so now Hope is on the Grizzles to send them packing.

and of course will be routing for Luka again, against the wolves.

I would be surprised if this year there are no suprises.
I think Detroit are underdogs in their series but definitely better chance then the odds offered imply. So will put a bet down on the Pistons to win that series.

I think the Wolves could upset the Lakers but do think the Lakers are more likely to win it. The Lakers do have a size disadvantage.

I think the Warriors Rockets series will be interesting. The Warriors on their A game sure beats the Rockets but the Warriors can also show up with their C game as they have done enough times and the Rockets will kill that. A lot of disrespect being shown to the Rockets with these odds I think that series is a 50/50 really.

so things worked out alright in the end the potential damage didnt happen and now news says the referee who wronfully ejected Luka wont be ref in any of the playoff games it looks like he got a major chewing out and is career is done now.

The Damage was little in the end though could have being significant, and the ref was reprimanded the tec rescinded and now its playoffs so tecs are erased and start over.

Which i guess means I cant complain about that anymore.
