This day last year

"MTT traffic was generally a bit thin last night. I suppose that is partly seasonal, but mainly the prospect of the best night of Champions League football this season. In the event, Arsenal & Man City, currently 1st & 2nd in "the best League in the world" both exited at the Quarter Final stage. Bad for Sky Bet, who want the English teams to make the Final, & mildly positive for Sky Poker I guess. For every winner there's a loser.

The Main went to the handsome & dashing @Super_Oli who won his seat in a £7.20 satellite. He also ran 6th in the 19.35 £400 BH, 7th in Mega, 10th in 9 @ 9 & 2nd in Sheriff. Based on Sharky's numbers, he's now well into 6 figures of profit, with a 29% ROI on an ABI of £25 over a sample size of 14,000. Look at that anyway you like, it's pretty good. Runner-up was @gobbleoff aka The Notorious G.O.B. with the increasingly prolific @shad8604 in third. In 4th was @tai-gar who is well-disciplined with his bankroll & I fancy he only enters Main events if he wins a seat. Investing £5.40 (3 x £1.80) in a trio of All-In Sats, he won the last one, & turned it into a very useful £287.

The £1,250 Mini performed very badly, clocking up a surprising £160 of overlay, & it was @StayOrGo who tucked in to the lion's share of that inadvertently added value. @LePonch was 2nd with @reeler 3rd. There was yet another cash for @steveysee in 4th, he seems to be making a bunch of FT's in recent weeks.

Not to be outdone by his Dad winning the Mini, @Limp2Lose won Quickdraw.

@GSmith13 won Mega & I arched an eyebrow upon seeing it was his first MTT victory this month. Delving a little deeper, I see he's barely played here & last night was his first MTT session for around 10 days. It was a big session though & he was in fine fettle, 1st in Mega, 8th in the Main, 5th in Mini (so not far off FTJ cash), 5th in Sheriff & 2nd in Quickdraw.

The Sharky graph of @Cammykaze is like a rollercoaster or a heart patient who has forgotten to take his medication, but at the moment it's heading steeply north. On Monday he ran 2nd in the Mini, & last night he won the £1k BH.

The 19.35 £400 BH went to @BanterJam who is fairly low volume but seems to do OK. Last night's score was his third best in the 5 years he's been here, beaten only by two results 5 days apart in 2021, when he ran 2nd in a Predator Main & 6th in the Sunday Major. Seems to do pretty well in the "teatime" Bounty Hunters.

For the second time in just over a week, 7 @ 7 went to @jeni82 who has now won it 4 times by my reckoning. Party trick seems to be Reload, which Jeni has won at least a dozen times.

@Joflow74 took the £1k Rebuy BH, a month after running 2nd in a £500 BH.

This time last month @Awoken won Marksman Main, & last night took down Sheriff from a typically tough Sheriff FT.

@mosseisely who has played just 6 MTT's in the last 6 weeks won MidEx, having run 4th in it 3 weeks ago.

The SPT Vegas Quarter started with just 10 entries but ended up with 18, so three Semi-Final seats & a bit of cash for 4th. The seats went to @MISTY4ME @shaggy19 & @Rstinson97, with @TheSaw - who already has a Semi Final seat - collecting £28.20 for 4th.

Think that'll have to do for today."

Morning.

With the Villa - PSG CL Quarter Final on TV poker traffic was expected to be impacted & so it proved. 6 events missed, most had piddling amounts - £35, £50, £48, £72 & £20, all of which were dwarfed by a £600 Summit miss, so £825 in total. I'd guess that Sky would have budgeted for worse.

I'm sorry to say that the Forum Search facility is having a major wobble for me this morning so today's scribblings will be a mite short on detail, which may come as a relief to many (all?) of you.

The Main went to @loololollo and there's nothing much I can tell you that you about him that you don't already know. Except perhaps that he currently leads the 2025 Sky Poker Sharky MTT leaderboard. It's actually quite tight at the top with the top three covered by around $1,300. 2nd is @loosecamel with fading star @Natnug (he's the Manchester City of Sky Poker) down in 3rd. Then comes @ozzieowen @GFKIJKLL & in 6th place @destinycod. I'm just guessing here, but I fancy @destinycod will have played less volume than all of those above him in the table. He's the Jack Grealish of Sky Poker. @loololollo also ran 2nd in 9 @ 9 & 4th in Quickdraw, won a £300 BH, 2nd in a £400 BH & made a few other minor FT's. Just an average night for Lord Crush then. @skippy1968 played well above his normal form to finish a very fine 2nd. @lJAMESl (2nd in the Major 2 nights earlier) was 3rd here & 2nd in Quickdraw, he's making FT's for fun right now.

@LitlGenral won the Mini. Hides his light under a bushel (not on Sharky) so I won't give the game away except to say he has a phenom high ROI. 2nd was @PapaCool1 who only played 2 MTT's - Mini & Rebuy BH - so made a lovely profit on the night.

Summit was very much "Business As Usual" with @Hoff92 getting the better of the usual high class Summit FT although an outstanding run into 6th by @The_Patto.

Unless I've set my Search Filters wrong on Sharky, @GetRekt had not played an MTT here since 2nd January but he showed up last night, regged for & won the £800 BH then promptly disappeared again.

Similar story for Mega winner @posh92 who apart from last Friday's Mega had not played an MTT here since last December.

@addy79 had a good bash at the "@" double, winning 7 @ 7 & 6th in 9 @ 9.

Monday's Marksman Main winner @PAPABURG had another good night, 1st in the Rebuy BH this time, won a £110 Summit seat in a £24 satellite, and 4th in 9 @ 9.

@Bensons22 twice hit the woodwork (2nd in both a £300 BH & Mega) before finally getting over the line in 1st place in 9 @ 9.

I wonder how often after making a dubious play @Peter_K has been called a comedian? Well he had the last laugh as after winning a late night £400 BH on Monday he won last night's MidEx as well as 2nd in a £300 Turbo & 6th in a early morning £150 BH.

Yet another good night for @grinddd who had a Reload & Quickdraw win double. Seems to do very well, & Sharky back that up, suggesting a 40% ROI at an ABI of £27.

Big Boy Watch includes Turbo winner @Fabraclass in addition to those already covered.

PLO8 bully @eon1961 won the Elim Freeroll, he's proper good at O8 but he's also more than handy at the 2 card game.

Finally, well done to @SootedPOWA who booked his seat in Sunday's Major via the Freeroll. To give that context, his ABI is less than 6 quid, so playing the Major is a big deal. Be great if he had a deep run in it.

Tonight it's Real Madrid v Arsenal, with the Gunners trying to protect a 3-0 lead from the 1st leg. Eeek. Anyway, that's bound to hit poker traffic. It'd all be worthwhile if Arsenal somehow clung on to silence the Arteta critics. Not sure I want to bet on it though...
