"With Arsenal v Chelsea on TV at 8pm traffic was bound to be impacted, & there was a sprinkling of overlay here & there but it was mostly modest.
I fear I may have developed a weird form of OCD, or perhaps I just live a very dull life, but I was quite fascinated to see the result of the £1k Rebuy BH in which the first 5 home all had an Alias that started with "A" -@aynaricol@Awoken@allan40618@AlexaAJ & @annette. In fact I was a trifle miffed with 6th placed @urabanhust who ruined the 6-fold sequence. I have no data to back this up, but I somehow doubt the first 5 home sharing their first letter has never happened before. The odds must surely be astronomical, & I'm in no doubt that one of the "it's rigged" idiots will be thinking it's a bit suss.
Anyway, moving on, @johnny_e took the Main. Tends to just play on Tuesday's of late, & play Main & Summit. Last night he won the Main & ran 3rd in Summit, & last Tuesday he was 4th in the Main. In 2024 he's so far finished 2nd, 2nd & 3rd in Summit. Lifetime, he's had some lovely big cashes, the best of which was almost £3,700 or winning a 2016 "Sky High Roller". Overall, very profitable off an ABI of over £30, so seems very handy. 2nd was @bencwho is best-known for his HU exploits, but he's seriously profitable at all formats. I've had the dubious pleasure of sharing tables with him at a few SPT's & he looks like he's still in his teens, & yet he's been here over 14 years. A perfect gentleman too, even when surreptitiously stealing our chips with outrageous bluffs whilst managing to look like butter would not melt in his mouth.
@tikemysonwho is presumably a fan of The Reverend Spooner won the Mini. In 2nd was @wynne1938 who, believe it or not is 85 years old. Imagine still being competitive at poker at that age, it's extraordinary. Can there be a better 85 year old poker player in the UK? I doubt it somehow. Well done Wynne, you are a great example to younger oldies like me.
The excellent @AlexaAJ won Summit, but sadly for me is no longer visible on Sharky so I can't really do justice to his undoubted abilities. Suffice to say though absolutely top notch. 2nd to 5th were all very predictable, but @47OHin 6th is interesting. Won their seat in a £24 satellite, & also won a seat to the Main via a sat. Has only been here a month & has suddenly started getting results. On Sunday they won the £1k BH, was 5th in the £5k BH, 2nd in a £300 BH & 2n in a £400 BH. One to keep an eye on. Has a good line in chat-box bants too.
In the battle of the "A"s @aynaricol won the £1k Rebuy BH for the fifth time in total & second time this year.
The @loololollostreak continues as he won Mega. What a run he is on, Saturday he won Sheriff & Rebuy BH, Sunday he won the Major, Monday Sheriff again & last night Mega.
7 @ 7 went to @Rashnikov and later in the evening he made it a double by winning a £300 BH. Some good results on his CV, including 3 Mains (one of which was an Avenger) & 2nd in a Major.
@Gutshotter won the Turbo, & if that alias is ringing a bell, it may be because in last year's Autumn UKOPS he had THREE wins, which is a bit special.
In the Sunday Major Freeroll, seats went to @mikepiper@giesahaun & the in-form @MAXALLY who ran 6th in the Main the previous night.
Bank Holiday Monday is often a bit difficult to predict traffic levels, & to be fair last night was not too bad, with just 3 events missing by an aggregate of £385 - £165 in the Mini, £100 in Sheriff & £120 in Quickdraw.
5 years ago, almost to the day, we had a full FTJ winner when @LitlGenralwon both Main & Mini, & we came within a flip of it happening again last night, as @addy79 won the Main & then ran 2nd in the Mini. It was lovely to see a busy Rail all egging him on in the Chat Box, especially @lJAMESl& @cash123, the latter having nicked a few bob from the Promo last week with 3rd & 3rd. Subject to the usual checks, @addy79 will get £2,500 in cash as soon as it gets approved. If he's reading this, it may not be today, as @Sky__James is o-o-o for a day or two, but don't worry, it will be coming your way in due course. Addy had to beat a tough field in the Main FT too, with @ChipDiddy0 & @cabbaz on the lower podium steps. Later in the evening @addy79 ran 3rd in Turbo too. What a night for the Addster.
By a spooky coincidence @LitlGenralmakes today's thread in his own right, as he won the £800 BH, almost 5 years to the day since his £5,000 FTJ.
@kevywevy17 must have a soft spot for the Mini Marksman, last July he won it & he did so again last night. In doing so, of course, & fending off runner-up @addy79, he cost addy £2,500 but saved Sky Poker that amount. I'm sure the Sky Suits will be thinking "God bless kevywevy".
Really pleased to see that @NOSTRIhad a win double - Rebuy BH & Reload. It was his first MTT session in almost a fortnight. He used to be on a Discord server that I subsequently joined & he really was the star turn. Sadly (for me) he moved on & things have never been quite the same there subsequently. And for those who have forgotten, it was @NOSTRI who first started the MML (Micro Masters League) which has been so much fun for so many people. That was 4 years ago, & was later to be taken over & flourished under @mumsie after @NOSTRI retired. In total, the MML thread has garnered 68,000 Views & Sky Poker have given away £14,300 in Free Entries. That's Community, working as it should.
@Natnug really is THE most annoying individual. Yesterday I mentioned that I had decided to relegate him from Team Big Boy as he seemed to have lost his touch - maybe he just had a prolonged spell of running good. So last night he decided to stick it in my eye & win both Sheriff & Turbo, as well as running 2nd in Quickdraw & winning a bunch of satellites so I have had to put him back in Team Big Boy now. He does it deliberately, I'm sure, he's just annoyingly annoying. Sort of like a (much) younger version of @HAYSIE. In fact come to think of it, they play similarly too. Maybe it's a dupe account & they are one & the same?
In Big Boy Watch, & excluding those already mentioned, Mega went to @bigfatfish& @Fabraclasstook MidEx.
Although he has made several 9 @ 9 FT's of late @andy705 does not get in the Winner's Circle too often so a 7 @ 7 win last night will have pleased him no end.
Laat night's 9 @ 9 winner was @Lee_Boy and it was amongst his best results in the last 18 months. Don't be deceived though, he reset his Sharky Stats 3 years ago, & prior to that he was very profitable indeed, so he is far better than his bare Sharky stats might suggest.
@Woebegonehas a CV to be proud of but has been a little quite recently, but bounced back with a Quickdraw win, & of course in doing so denied @Natnug a hat-trick for which I am truly grateful.
