This day last year

"MTT traffic was mixed last night, with pockets of overlay her & there but also some big numbers, notably the £1,000 Quickdraw which made a frothy £2,100.

We have to start with THAT man again, @loololollo who regular readers will know has been on a bit of a winning streak, & he extended it yet again last night by winning Avenger Main. So here's how the Streak looks now;

Saturday - 1st, Sheriff

Saturday - 1st, Rebuy BH

Sunday - 1st, Sunday Major

Monday - 1st, Sheriff

Tuesday - 1st, Mega

Wednesday - 1st Reload

Thursday - 1st, £1k Rebuy BH

Friday - 1st, Avenger Main

And as you can see, it's not just run-of-the-mill MTT's, that run includes the two biggest MTT's of the entire week, the Major & Avenger Main. He was also 4th in last night's BWBH. 3rd in last night's Avenger Main was @Awoken who went on to win MidEx. In 6th was @bbMike, that's at least the 4th time he's made the Avenger Main FT.

There was a PB for @Knighty98 who won the Mini. In 2nd place was @loosecamel who I suspect is the best even-toed ungulate on Sky Poker.

@ozzieowen had a terrific night, not only winning the BWBH but also taking 1st place in that super-sized Quickdraw, which made way over it's run-rate. He's had a decent April as despite quite modest volume he's won BWBH, Quickdraw twice), Mega & MidEx.

@kettle9930 is another who is running hot, he won the £1k BH in addition to that £300 BH that runs at 19.35. In fact he's won that 19.35 BH three times in the last 9 nights.

Playing an MTT here for the first time in a fortnight & one-tabling it, @gabsyb won the Rebuy BH.

And there I'll have to draw a line, as it's Saturday & I have things to do. Watch football, watch snooker, play golf, watch golf... WAL"

Morning.

Despite just a ""dead rubber" League 1 game on TV, there was a fair bit of overlay across the board last night, with an aggregate total of £681 spread across the £800 BH, 7 @ 7, Mini, Mega, Sheriff, Reload, & Quickdraw.

The Main went to @BLUESTONES and it's his 2nd Main Event win this year as he won a Hitman Main in January. He began yesterday by winning a little £150 "Timed" at Noon, then ran 525/576 in the Rewards Freeroll, & ended by winning the Main & going home with £860 in his pocket. Amongst the FT cashees was the increasingly prolific @Swifteyyeu (4th) who also ran 2nd in Sheriff, & in 6th, paying us a rare visit, the Great Man himself, aka @Swog. He only played 2 MTT's here last night, Main & Turbo, finishing 6th & 1st respectively. He's off to Vegas soon, & amongst other things playing the WSOP Main. If he can avoid any nasty outdraws he may well run very deep, he's a cut above the average WSOP entrant.

@BooBooTheB won the Mini, & as regular readers (if I have any) will know that's such a fun alias. Serious player though, he has the best part of twenty 4-figure cashes here. In 3rd was @Natnug & I'll deal with him later.

Sheriff was a right doozy, with Mean Machine @GSmith13 getting the better of the likes of @Swifteyyeu @ILIKE2FISH @StayOrGo and of course Sheriff FT ever-present @NChanning.

Turning now to @Natnug, with every passing day he annoys me more. Since I described him as a "fading star" a few days ago he's not stopped winning. He only does it to be awkward. Yesterday's haul included no less than 5 (FIVE) wins - two x £300 Turbo BH's, a £150 Timed, Reload, Quickdraw, & 3rd in the Mini. He had been slipping down the 2025 Sky Poker Sharky Leaderboard too, but suddenly he's shot $3,000 clear of his nearest pursuers. Meh, he's just on a 4 year heater.

@MARK277 had his first Featured win in the £800 BH since winning 7 @ 7 late last month, though he's not played a great deal in the interim. At the stakes he plays he's top-drawer with an ROI just shy of 50%.

Last night's 7 @ 7 winner was @terrytwomore who has the affectionate nick of UNFOOKINREAL, a term he uses most nights. Been here 13 years, played over 34,000 games (and pleasantly profitably), & yet I really get the impression he does not enjoy the game, with explosive verbal outbursts every time he loses a hand. I'm serious now, I'd really love to help - counsel if you like - the many players like him who seem to struggle to accept the ups & down of MTT's. If you play a lot of poker, you should know in advance, & accept, that you WILL get outdrawn a fair bit, & K-K will get turned over by ace-small with regularity. It will happen EVERY NIGHT if you play enough games, it just will. It's normal, it's routine, it's how poker works. And yet so many folks burst a blood vessel. If that enjoying themselves, it's a funny old world. The key to enjoying poker is exactly that - win or lose, find a way to enjoy it. And if we lose, it's never the end of the world if we have a balanced life & are not addicted to just poker. If I had my time again I'd set up a little business helping folks enjoy their poker more. And just to reiterate, I'm not digging Terry or anyone else out, it just makes no sense for recreational player to get bent out of shape over routine outdraws in small stakes poker. And here's a free piece of advice - never, NEVER EVER, tilt, it's a huge weakness. Ride them punches & embrace the adversity. I actually know players who BOAST they they got tilted over a hand of poker. How weird is that? I'd die of embarrassment if I ever admitted that. Anyway, there it is.

The Rebuy BH went to @platinum4 & that's quite something, as he won it on Tuesday too. Takes a bit of doing, that.

@davtherav does very nicely & won Mega for the 2nd time this month, has been runner-up & 5th in it too. Seems to make FT's for fun & in the last few weeks has made FT's of Main, 9 @ 9, 7 @ 7, Main & a bunch of smaller stuff.

Must mention two outstanding results, @kazzaroo11 took 9 @ 9 & MidEx went to @Calvert630, well done to both of them, you were overdue.
