It's tough to make a great big UV look uglier than the current offerings from Rolls Royce, Range Rover etc etc it is but congrats to Zeekr they've managed it.

Exact pricing of the large Chinese family car is not yet known but is rumoured to start from as little as £50k. That's some saving on the £300k commanded by the Roller equivalent.

But it's not just the price that stands to make the 9X appealing; the plug-in hybrid drivetrain promises more than 186 miles of EV-only driving combined with supercar performance.

I don't disagree that some of the modern EVs are exceptionally quick in a straight line but, in my opinion, supercar performance is far more than just that. There is no way any of these 3+ tonne monstrosities is ever going to carry that speed round a corner or give the visceral experience of a high powered ICE. A client took me out in his new Tesla the other day, yes stunningly quick in a straight line but so bland and boring to look at or sit in. I'll stick with my sports cars thanks!

In case anyone thinks that @Enut is being unkind about the RR Cullinan, here it is, a RR SUV designed, presumably, by a committee. And at just £298,800, you get change from £300k.

What Car? have the new price at £337,545 or£385,545 if you want the Black Badge edition, so no change from £300K at all. But, as the saying goes, if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it.
