This day last year

"The Main went to the appropriately named @winner5603 who is in their 17th year here on Sky Poker & seems to do very well indeed in MTT's having played over 20,000 of them & made a handsome ROI. By contrast, runner-up @diehun7 only joined earlier this year & has played just 26 MTT's here. First decent cash was just over a week ago in Gold Rush Main, when they were 5th. 3rd was @Upswing who won his seat in an All-In-Sat, in fact he won a Sheriff seat by the same route. Best result was 2nd in a UKOPS Rebuy last October.

@Yoozer one-tabled their way to 1st place in the Mini, that's at least the 5th time they've taken down a Mini. 2nd was @DOLLY47 who was 6th in Summit just 24 hours earlier with moderate stakes end boss @hhammerhea in 3rd.

@utang never logged on until mid-evening, starting with the Mega but did very well, winning both Reload & MidEx. Very few players have a better record in the late night trio of Turbo, Quickdraw & MidEx which he has won 7, 6, & 11 times respectively.

@MakeItStop has had several near-misses in 7 @ 7 but got the deserved win last night.

Considering it's "only" a £20 MTT, Quickdraw had THE most ridiculously tough FT, with @AlexaAJ StayOrGo @loololollo @Jessieak @Woebegone & @bigfatfish in that order.

After Tuesday, the Vegas Streak Week Leaderboard had @baxter21 in 1st place & he won last night's Elim Fr so he'll likely extend his lead. @terrytwomore is doing well too, joint 3rd in Tuesday's leaderboard and a top 20 finish last night.

In the Vegas Quarter Final, Semi Final seats were won by @MARBLEFLAW @SPTpaul & @rustyy123 with @MAXALLY being the seat-bubbler for the 419th time, though he did pick up £9.40, almost enough to have another bash tonight."

Afternoon.

Yesterday's write up forewarned of overlay on Tuesday night due to the Arsenal - PSG CL Semi Final on TV, & as things turned out, at first glance the misses seemed reasonable - £70 in the £800 BH, £80 in the Main, £90 in the Mini, £66 in the 9 @ 9, £204 in Reload & £40 in Quickdraw. Not too bad then. But wait, there's Summit too, which came up £1,200 shy. I'm not convinced that £1,200 on a £4,000 MTT can be filed under "reasonable". The 2nd leg is next week, so that might prove another testing night for online poker sites. (And the Arsenal....).

Gold Rush Main went to @ILIKE2FISH and may have been his best score since winning a UKOPS HR last Christmas. Was 2nd in Summit too, which was almost worth as much to him as winning the Main. Was with us in Vegas last year & was a very popular member of the group. Currently leads the Sky Poker/Sharky "COUNT" Leaderboard for 2025 by some margin (from @Frankson8) though the bulk of his entries are Satellites, he plays them all, or seems to. Was a tough FT too, with the likes of @fishhhhh @BooBooTheB & @loosecamel in 2nd, 4th & 5th respectively.

The Mini went the way of the mysterious @mysteryreg, who had quite a night - 1st in the Mini, 5th in 7 @ 7, 2nd in a £300 BH2nd in the Rewards Freeroll & binked a Gold Rush All-In Sat. In 4th was @kidgirlgy aka Sue Norsden, famous for her WSOP exploits, and for those who don't know her, she's a young lady in her mid-forties & is the better half of Dave aka @kidgrimsby. 10 years or so her senior was 5th placed @MAXALLY who is a keen fan of League 1 side Stoke City, & who was 2nd in a UKOPS High Roller for around £1,600 last November but holds the record for most Vegas Satellite bubbles.

As noted earlier there was a ton of overlay in Summit to be shared amongst the players & the main beneficiary was @Jscorgie. Other finalists divvying up all that lovely overlay from Sky Poker included @ILIKE2FISH @Solack @TIMBER (who I regularly bump into at DTD) & @Granite89.

The £800 BH was taken down by serial £800er @wiggywoo11 who does not play every night - this was just his 8th MTT this month - but always 1-tables the £800 BH, so that was a pleasing result for Wiggy.

@lundie took the 7 @ 7. Has over 88,000 games on Sky Poker on his CV, of which some 27,000 were MTT's & for which he's earned over £100,000 at a 40% ROI. Most impressive.

The Rebuy BH winner was @wakefiel10 of whom I'm sorry to say I know nothing. But it's "Wakefiel10" not "Wakefield 10".

Just over a month ago @tempestide signed up & has now played around 120 MTT's. Has already made the FT's of both Quickdraw & the 19.18 PLO8, & gained his first Featured MTT win last night by winning a surprisingly tough Mega FT.

@Bensons22 had been going along nicely before taking a 2 week break but returned in fine fettle last night, winning 9 @ 9, a £400 BH, 2nd in Quickdraw & winning a Summit seat in a satellite.

The wonderfully-named @deviantjok began the month by winning a Mini Gold Rush, & returned to the winner's circle last night by being the last man standing in Reload.

@Kat1987 was on site from early morning yesterday & had a series of near-misses in smallball stuff including 3/32, 6/18 & 8/17, before bravely going up in class to the £33 entry Turbo & getting the win.

Quickdraw & MidEx went to two very familiar names in @Steed432 & @Fabraclass.

It was very much All Our Yesterday's in the 18.18 PLO8 with @county (1st) @chilling (2nd) & the owner of large swathes of Sussex countryside, @Enut, in 4th.
