This day last year

"Morning.

A little quieter last night, as predicted, probably due to the 1st CL semi final (which was one of the best games all season), but not too bad really, with just two small bits of overlay in 7 @ 7 & Reload. The other CL semi final is tonight, & features Real Madrid & Bayern Munich, so if Sky Poker get similar numbers to last night I think they'll be more than happy.

The Main went to @WHO_IS_SHE who won an Avenger Main earlier this year and ran 2nd in a Sharpshooter Main back in 2019. Fairly sure last night was a PB. 2nd was @DREWETT who later on ran 3rd in Quickdraw. Does very well indeed here, was 6th in the Major two days ago & won the Turbo last week. Has won the Major twice, once each in 2022 & 2023. In 3rd was @StayOrGo who not only won his seat to the £110 Summit for just £24 in a satellite, he went on to finish 2nd & take home £882 for his efforts. He really does do very well here & although Sharky's numbers are often a bit wayward, they are a decent rule of thumb & they suggest he is closing in on £200,000 of profit in Sky Poker MTT's which is a club with fairly limited membership.

For the 2nd time this year & 4th in all, @ILIKE2FISH won the Mini. Has plenty of solid scores on his CV, but his biggest three scores here on Sky Poker were all for runner-up spots - in the Major, a UKOPS Rebuy & a BWBH.

Summit was topped by @LFCChris86 who was beaten only by @loololollo in the Major a few weeks ago. He's another who has won the Major twice, in his case in 2019 & 2023. Last night's Summit had a seriously tough FT, with @StayOrGo 2nd @GSmith13 3rd @NChanning 4th @5ausages 5th & @GoldNug22 in 6th just 48 hours after he won the Major.

Congrats to @steviep89 won secured his best ever score from 910 MTT's in winning Mega. And it must have taken a bit of winning as @destinycod was 2nd with @Natnug 3rd, neither of whom are the sort of opponents you want to see when down to the last 3.

In the Vegas Quarter, Semi Final seats went to @tai-gar @gibbzy & @THECHIMP with the loose change going to @hazelwoo05. Unfortunately @LmfaoAllin just missed out in 5th, but I'm quite sure that if he wants to qualify for Vegas he soon will.

May Day Bank Holiday so MTT traffic was, as expected, on the thin side. Overlay amounted to £539, with the top three culprits being Sheriff (£200), Mini (£160) &, somewhat surprisingly, Quickdraw (£100).

Was genuinely pleased to see @tomb1793 win the Main, having qualified via a £7.20 satellite. If the alias rings a bell, he's the guy who did so well in winning those UKOPS Elim Freerolls two years on the spin, & then doing well in UKOPS itself. Since then we've got to know each other a little thanks to exchanging DM's, & he's a very interesting individual who seems to be living his best life. Coming up to 5 years here, 85% of his play is at the cash tables but he seems to excel at MTT's where he makes a very handsome ROI indeed. 2nd was @NOSTRI then came @Fabraclass with @Limp2lose 5th & @Loganator in 6th, all of which suggests a high quality FT, the only exception being @Swifteyyeu in 4th.

The Mini went to @chkngeorge who I saw referred to yesterday as GreedyGeorge, though be assured it was a back-handed compliment, & arose after @mumsie published a bit of a MML league table....

Stunning really, won it 23 times, 2nd 28 times, 3rd 14 times. Earned himself a lot of free entries there, & made good use of them.

2nd in last night's Mini was @Bensons22 who then ran 3rd in Mega & 6th in a £250 Timed.

I've mentioned @Tempestide a few times as a NKOTB to watch. Joined us some 6 weeks ago & after a slow start is really finding his feet now & last week he won Mega two nights on the spin, then followed up with 1st in MideX on Sunday night. Well last night he had easily his best night yet, 1st in Sheriff, 4th in 9 @ 9, 4th in Turbo & 3rd in Quickdraw. In fact you can add 1st in Midex to yesterday's haul really, as he won it on Sunday "night" which really means Monday morning. I saw him getting trolled in the chatbox last week by some complete numbskull & he handled it with great aplomb but, I suspect, rather too much subtlety for for his hapless attacker. In other Sheriff news, @NChanning failed to make the final 6. What happened there Mr C? Incidentally, there's a new edition of The Betting Dojo, and it includes two quite funny Nigel Farage stories, here you go...

The opener went to @Summers119 has started May with a real flourish. He'd already won two £300 BH's then added the £800 BH last night, he's had a bunch of FT's too. Has had some decent results down the years including wins in a Sheriff, a UKOPS & a Mini Avenger.

I can't find too many FT's for @hogan02 except a £400 BH & a Rewards Freeroll, so a 7 @7 win last night will have delighted him.

Playing for just the 5th time in 7 weeks, @safcgod did well to win the Rebuy BH, the 2nd time he's won it actually, as he binked it one night last August.

@blablabla continues to show he can talk the talk & had another win last night, Mega this time. Has had some solid scores including 1st in a Summit & 2nd in a UKOPS Mini.

Interesting to see an uptick in form by @KOBAC which continued last night with a 9 @ 9 win, having run 5th in Sunday's Mini Major 24 hour earlier.

Reload went to @BIGMANPKR who only seems to win stuff that kicks off mid-evening or later - a quick peruse of his best results show wins or FT's in Tourneys that started at 20.30, 21.30, & 22.15.

Following a good week last week - 1st in Quickdraw & 2nd in Midex just a few days apart - @fiers5527 was at it again last night, & this time he went one better in MidEx.

Big Boy Watch included @Sharki0 (Turbo) & @Limp2Lose (Quickdraw), but for the most part, it was the Foot Soldiers who went home with the loot last night.

CL Semi Final tonight, with the 2nd Leg of that fabulous Barca v Inter Milan Semi. If it's half as good as last week it'll be a belter, but of course it won't do Online Poker any favours.
