This day last year

"As suggested yesterday, the attractive CL fixture between Real Madrid & Bayern Munich had some impact on traffic, & there were small misses in 7 @ 7, Mini & MidEx. However, these were offset thanks to decent turnouts in the £4,000 Main (£4,830), £1,000 Sheriff (£1,750), £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,700) & £1,000 Turbo (£1,560).

@kahuna96 has been a bit quiet on the Results front this year but bounced back to form with a splendid victory in the Main which was worth around £920 to him. That's his 2nd best result of 2024, beaten only by the £2,400 he picked up for 2nd in a Major in January which in fact was his best ever score here. Runner-up was @MARK277 which was rather pleasing to me as he won his entry in a free-to-enter Community Comp. It's a mystery to me why more players don't play these Community Comps, it's free money. Short-change them a fiver & there's h*ll to pay, offer them free money & they cba. Poker players eh? @MARK277 also ran 2nd in 7 @ 7, & so from just 4 MTT's played last night he did rather well I'd say. Incidentally, for @MARK277 or anyone who cashed in the Main, at time of writing Sharky are NOT showing the result. If these things matter to you, there's an Online form you can fill in on Sharky to rectify this & it's very easy & efficient.

On what was an otherwise quiet night for him, @AlexaAJ won the Mini & ran 2nd in 9 @ 9 to @Sharki0

Sheriff made a most pleasing £1,750 & it was @StayOrGo who prevailed. He was also 4th in Turbo, 3rd in Quickdraw, & won two seats to the Main in All-In-Sats. Before Sheriff started the 9pm slot was occupied variously by £2,500, £3,000 & £4,000 BH's & @StayorGo won them countless times, 9pm seems to be his sweet spot, as it's after Crossroads & before his bedtime cocoa.

@seikus rarely seems to have a blank night & won Turbo as well as running 2nd in Reload.

@Mars58 only played one MTT, the Mega, & won it. That's the third time they've won it this year & 4th in all.

In the Vegas Quarter, Semi Final seats went to @Gigitygoon @madprof & @TheMadMonk with the loose change going the way of @Super_Oli who also won the £1k Rebuy BH & won himself a seat to the Main via a satellite.

Morning.

As expected, that CL Semi Final impacted numbers significantly, but Flutter won't mind, the Sports Betting will have had a great night, especially as the 90 minute score was a Draw. Overlay amounted to £1,006 spread across 6 MTT's though 70% of it was Summit & another 16% came from MidEx. More (less?) of the same tonight, with Arsenal travelling across to Paris for their 2nd leg.

Incidentally, the quality of football in the two legs of Inter v Barca just highlights how far behind Europe that English football has fallen, they look different class to even the best English teams. PSG looked great v Arsenal last week too. Last night's Inter v Barca 2nd leg (3-3 at 90 minutes) was even better than last week's 1st leg, also 3-3. I could fall back in love with Premier League football if it was half as good as that.

Bit of a surprise in the Main which went to @smudgerblu. Don't have too much history on Smudger, except I do know he won a Mini Gold Rush in '22 & a Mini Marksman in '23. Was absent all of April except for playing one MTT - a Freeroll - on the 6th, then disappeared until re-appearing a few nights go. MBN to return with a win in the 8pm Main. Next home were @peiratis88 then @Super-Ted @ozzieowen @Faigzy & then @aynaricol in 6th. Later, @aynaricol was 3rd in Reload, & in great news I saw she tried to qualify for SPT Glasgow. Would be lovely to see her before everything changes after the transition.

The Mini winner was @mexicano84 and if, like me, you were slightly curious what "mexicano" means it's a food product, but not one I'd ever go near...

Summit was a proper doozy, with @Natnug - we should call him @LuckNug - getting home ahead of @ChipDiddy0 @ozzieowen @Tempestide @destinycod & @NChanning. Sheesh. That extends the lead of @Natnug in the 2025 Sky Poker MTT Sharky leaderboard to over $4,000.

A first (Featured) win of 2025 for @Traianus1 who took the £800 BH, though he has FT form in Reload & the £1k Rebuy BH.

@wasp41 was on site all day from early morning & was drawing a blank until a fine victory in 7 @ 7.

The Rebuy BH winner was @Simon03604 who does not seem to play anything else, just 1-tables that one most nights. He won it 2 nights earlier too. In fact, if we look at the last 8 nights, his finishing positions in the Rebuy BH included 13/113, 10/97, 4/99, 1/132 & 1/90. Even @Natnug aka @NatLuck would struggle to beat that.

On Monday @squeak13 ran deep in 9 @ 9 and he returned on a revenge mission last night, upgraded himself to 9 @ 9 & got the win.

@brucie1972 has been banging away at Reload with little sign of success, last 5 attempts were 88/175, 132/195, 95/179, 132/212, 101/182, & then last night, nice to see you, to see you nice, 1/160.

Meanwhile, in late April, & after 1-tabling Reload 5 times, @quiteone took a break until re-appearing last night/this morning to take down MidEx.

In Big Boy Watch, @Limp2Lose only played 2 MTT's - Turbo & Quickdraw - but still managed to win Quickdraw for the 2nd night on the spin. He tends to play just 2 or 3 a night here these days, but it works well, in 16 MT's played here in the first 6 days of May he's won Quickdraw twice, Turbo once, & made three other FT's. Quite a strike-rate that. Playing just his 2nd session this month, @loosecamel played 6 MTT's, winning Mega & 3rd in Turbo. @destinycod won Turbo, his first win this month though again, he's played very little this month.
