This day last year

"MTT traffic was "OK", neither great not terrible. No overlay except for £60 in the Mini, & I think Sky will survive that.

The £4,000 Hitman Main came in at £4,710 with @bigfatfish finishing 1st & taking home around £1,050. He spends most of his time playing DYM's (over 140,000 of them, compared to 18,600 MTT's) but does very well at MTT's, including winning the Sunday Major twice last year. Runner-up was @69winsalot who won the Major a few years ago having won his seat in the Freeroll on the very same evening. 3rd was @bossquaid which was his best score since running 3rd in that Sunday night £5k BH middle of last month. @ILIKE2FISH finished 4th & did OK in two Freerolls, nicking a tenner in the Rewards Freeroll & £25 in the Elim Freeroll. @Drewett is having a monstrous run in 8pm Mains this week. On Sunday he was 6th in the Major (£640), Tuesday he was 2nd in Gold Rush (£479), and last night 5th in Hitman (£286).

The Mini was won by @Samson15 who has been doing really well in the nightly Rewards Freerolls this week - £20 last night, £10 on Tuesday, £20 on Monday. The lower podium steps were filled by @Richrash93 & @Froozle. In 4th was @Angela124 who only returned from a 3 week MTT absence on Tuesday.

Once again, Sheriff had a horrendously tough FT, with @MikeyW94 getting home ahead of @mysteryreg @Awoken @GSmith13 @Froozle & @Natnug. Was a great night for @MikeyW94 as he won Turbo too & that had an equally strong FT, he had to beat @StayOrGo @GFKIJKLL @greg1974 @loololollo & @Steed432.

@bazam6706 won the £800 BH, that's only his 2nd ever featured MTT victory, the first being 2 years ago.

The Rebuy BH went to @ossyking but as he's completely blocked on Sharky I guess he prefers that we don't discuss him & the same applies to 9 @ 9 winner @JOLLYMACK

In the Vegas Quarter, Semi Final seats (or the cash equivalent) went to @TheMadMonk & @madprof for the 2nd straight night, with @chankie88 getting the third seat, & best part of a tenner in cash to @HANSON.

Morning.

As expected, the Arsenal game impacted poker traffic, & £568 of overlay though I'd argue it could have been far worse. It was spread around fairly equally amongst 7 events, with the Mini easily the worst at £175.

The Main went to @hasthenuts who presumably did. Not on Sharky so I have limited info, but been here 10 years, plays roughly 50/50 cash & MTT's & is moderately successful at both. Can't find too many big wins, but he did make the Finals of a UKOPS & a Major last Autumn. A fine effort by @Super-Ted to finish 6th, just 24 hours after running 3rd in Tuesday's Main. @Chalky666 was in the frame too.

It was almost as if the Main & Mini had swapped round, as the top two in the Mini were @bigfatfish & @StayOrGo and nobody would arch an eyebrow if either of those two won the Main.

Was a pleasant surprise on a big football night to see Sheriff exceed guarantee comfortably. Equally pleasing to see @mumahumpa complete a 5 day Sheriff tricast - was 3rd on Sunday, 2nd on Monday, & 1st last night.

The £800 BH went to @eon1961 who is of course much better known for his PLO8 exploits. He prefers PLO8 but that's not to say he's not equally proficient at the 2 card game - back in 2011 he won over £2,200 in a Sky Poker Main. Incidentally, the 1-2-3 in that 2011 Main was @eon1961 @tallboy & @HUGHMANS all three of whom are still here 14 years later. Says something for Sky Poker, for all it's faults.

@allan40618 may not be an alias many recognize but he does OK & won last night's 7 @ 7 for the third time this year, won the Rebuy BH a month or two ago too.

Last night's Rebuy BH went to @Richie_L who has won a few Main events in the last year or two.

@CORKY73 has a fine record in 7 @ 7 with a decent sprinkling of wins & FT's & won it again last night.

Big Boy Watch saw @grinddd take Mega & Mr @Arrogant was our Turbo winner.

Reload went to @MASTA2501 who was so pleased with themselves that they stayed on site until beyond 4am this morning, & in fact made it a double by winning a Timed that kicked off at 02.15 when most of us are in bed. Only been here 2 or 3 months but seems to be going along nicely.

Regular readers - if there are any - will know that @fiers5527 has been doing well recently in late night stuff with wins in Quickdraw & MidEx already this month, & a Sheriff last month. Won Quickdraw again last night & is proving to be one of those players you really don't want on your table.

For the 2nd time in just over a month, MidEx went to @jas69, in fact he won a 9 @ 9 recently too.

Think that's about it for today.

Arsenal's valiant efforts in the Champions League damaged poker traffic last night, but no such worries tonight, it's only Man U & Spurs. Hard to imagine that anyone will bother watching either of them trying to win the European version of the Sherpa Van Trophy.
