TBH I luckboxed my way to this win by sucking out at least 3 times including 66 />AA AIPF. I'll take it though, I haven't been running too well lately, it's about time my luck changed!

    I don't think I've ever seen the bounty prize for first equal the actual first place prize.

    Yet you only took 9 heads? You must have taken candids? which was (and always is) worth loads?

    Yep, that was one of the suck-outs.
     
    Candid had been stealing loads of blinds, so I put him on a pretty wide opening range. When I picked up AT in the SB I decided to re-shove. He flipped over kings. I binked an ace. With hindsight I should have noticed his bet sizing tell, until that point all his steals at the ft had been less than 3x. Even though I got lucky this is undoubtedly a +ev move, particularly when you factor in the big bounty on his head.

    Thanks guys. Yep, it feels great. Taking down an MTT has got to be the best feeling in poker, even better when you get in on the cheap.
