Beat - Probably the worst beat ever

It's so bad ive even decided to make my first forum post about it. The only plus side is that given the situation I was in 99.99% of everyone here would have made the same decision.

I was doing fairly well in the Friday night Bounty Hunter tournament with 54k chips. Pretty much had the nuts with Ace high flush when I get beat with a Full house on the River. KK222

Not much I could have done really but I was surprised given the cards on the board that someone with trip 2's would call such a strong bet. Does anyone know what the odds were of my losing that hand from the turn card?

Unbelievable!

    Hi moran,

    Welcome to the Forum mate.

    "Unbelievable"? Indeed.

I'll be honest, I'm a bit confused by your post, on several grounds.

However, NOBODY can see what cards you, the Villain or the board contained from that Hand Number you quote - only YOU can see that.

If you want to post the actual hand, (what you had, what villain had, how the board ran out) it'll be easier for everyone to comment. We can't really tell much from what we have so far.

Unlucky, but its not exactly a terrible beat, 22 has plenty of outs on the river. Hardly a 1 outer or perfect runner runner.

Dare I say you may have (at least partially) been the architect of your own downfall with that min bet lead on the flop? The bet serves little purpose whatsoever.

In hindsight you are probably right, it was the min bet that let him in for the turn and river! A lesson learned for sure!

You are a 78.57% favourite to win the hand so while its unlucky its a long way from the worst beat ever! Hands like this are pretty common.

Nut flushes often fall fowl to ful houses, it is a tough one but that happens a lot. Matt stated the odds above. Its by no means the worst beat ever. Why thats nothing! When i was a kid....
