Legendary poker player, author - and appalling generate gambler to boot - TJ Cloutier got himself into another financial mess recently, and ended up having to pawn one of his WSOP bracelets to fund his gambling.

Another poker website has actually bought it, and are going to gift it back to him ... after getting a bit of publicity, naturally!

What are your thoughts? Is this a nice gesture for an old man, unable to control his gambling addiction, or does it reward someone who really doesn't deserve it?

    What a sad tale. A man who must have had some talent to win a bracelet.
    Out of interest, how much did the bracelet fetch, or how much would one be worth?

    Somebody put the link on the forum from ebay, starting bid around 3000$, don't know what it went for.

    It went for $4,006 apparently ... although I can't see it having much worth to anyone apart from the person who won it, to be honest!

    I think its a very nice gesture. He was, and still is, a top class poker player and he won the bracelet fair and square. Unfortunately, for him, he's a very bad Craps gambler.
