Best Of

A much better night for MTT traffic. There were a few bits & bobs of overlay, & the Major missed by £700, which was not ideal, but otherwise not too bad, & the Vegas satellites - we had a Quarter, Semi & Final - went OK. Summer is well & truly here now, so it's going to be tough going until the Autumn, as it always is at this time of year.

We'll start with Vegas today, with the three packages - each worth around £4,000 - going to @ILIKE2FISH @style & @style2737. @ILIKE2FISH has played just about every Vegas satellite this year, so that's a great result for him & maybe some poetic justice. A little odd that the other two packages both went to different styles - @style2737 who most of us know, (or know of) & @style who is, to me at least, a stranger. "Big" style - @style2737 - had not played any MTT's here for around 9 months until last night, though of course he's been here since Day One & many of you remember him from "Top of the Pots". Commiserations go to @TommyD who was the bubble boy, but he did at least collect £400 for his troubles. The 2024 SPT Las Vegas ends on 20th July, so that's 2 months today. Soon comes round, doesn't it?

In the Major, Boring Bloke @mattprawn somehow took 1st place. I'm really not sure what poker is coming to when a Sunday Major is won by an accountant. God loves a trier, or so I've heard, so Matt has the Big Man on his side, as he's certainly trying. He came to Vegas with us & was huge fun actually, though I prefer not to admit it. There was a tremendous result for @smellbl1nd in 2nd, he has an ABI of about £4 & won his seat in Tuesday's Sunday Major Freeroll, & 2nd place was worth £1,980, so he must be chuffed to bits. I was really pleased to see @JammyFker make the Final even if it was "only" 6th, he's been a breath of fresh air on the Forum recently. @MAXALLY had a good Major too, finishing 9th for £324 after winning his seat in a £3 All-In Sat just minutes before the Major started. He won two seats to the £33 BH last night too, & it's exactly a week since he ran 3rd in the Mini Major, so he's on a bit of a roll.


@return won the Mini, but I have no data on him or her. 2nd was @JACKDAW and don't forget he was 4th in Saturday's Sharpshooter Main, so he's running well right now, although he's a Liverpool fan, so I imagine yesterday was a sad day for him.

@addy79 does not make these write-ups too often but he did so in fine style last night with two wins - 9 @ 9 & MidEx - as well as 4th in a £300 BH.

@Morris707 won the Rebuy BH, & also won a seat into the £110 Major via a £24 satellite.

Overall, a very good day I think, with 5 Vegas packages awarded - 3 in the satellite Final, & one each (still to be announced) in Streak Week & Elim Freerolls. That brings us up to 20 qualifiers so far if I'm not mistaken.

I meant well if I wanted to be nasty and wasnt coming from a good place I wouldnt have said I mean no offense and I wouldnt have mentioned statistical significance checks and etc.

I have actually worried about theegde before because hence why i tried to reach out. I may not be the best at putting things the right way but I meant it from a good place.

In terms of my own life and struggles yes I have them, personally I do worry a lot about humanity and the future but thinking it through realistically there are a few things which are clear there.

Firstly it is incredibly probable that the vast majority of human beings I would say 95%+ maybe even 99% + will be wiped out within the next century or two I hope not in my life time.

It is also the case that we are highly unlikely to go extinct human beings are an intelligent resiliant species and its hard to imagine an event that could wipe us all out.

So yeah I worry about world war a lot and war with Russia I dont want to go before I have lived properly.
