at the time i was 15th with 30 left in.
i tried bluffing on the flop but when i saw the raise i thought right away the villian has an A.
during preflop would it have been best to just fold this hand or should i have shoved right away or would a call have been the best and just hope for lower cards or a 10.

We have 14 blinds to start the hand, utg, Tens. ughhh

    Awkward.

    Jamming is fine ofc.

Would jam just coz everything else suxxxxxxxxxxx, can min raise though.

Don't bet that much of your stack on the flop and then fold. You've almost priced yourself in to call off for 2 outs!

I'd give up here 4 ways on the flop, and play on with 12xbb.

If this is how the table had been playing, an open jam becomes a much better option.

    Ya, agree with everything

Shoving with TT from UTG is pretty optimal preflop.

Postflop 4 way, someone is going to have that Ace, it's just really likely so I'd be check/folding.

I wouldn't jam this deep pre-flop from UTG. For 14BB I think we're only going to be called when dominated or flipping and the blinds aren't quite significant enough, to my mind, at 11% of our stack. I think for 12BB I'd shove but 14BB is just too much. It's got to be a pretty tight decision.

I'd min-raise and call a shove if it comes. Definitely check back on this flop, though: If we have the best hand, everything weaker folds and if we are behind nothing tha beats us folds. So don't bet the flop. Try to check it down for a cheap showdown.

14BB... really annoying stack. As DOHHHHHHH says: "Awkward"

If you think you'll get shoved on by worse and will not be called by Ax/Kx hands then min raise is fine

Looking at the table, jamming is best - let them call and make mistakes
If you get called by better prs then ul, what you going to do fold 10's 6 max !!

By min raising your letting people in to see a flop, and you don't really wana see a flop oop with 10's.
What the best for you, someone shoves worse or someone stacks a 9 high flop with A9!

    the bubble wiill burst 25th
the villians them selves held these hands but had i shoved preflop and with the bubble being near would the AKo have went for the fold knowing his stack was almost identical to mine the Q5s i am certain would fold as he was only likely chasing a flush or Q.

if you shove you want Q5 to call and AK to fold )

But if AK calls then - all is good

The fact that it's very close shouldn't be influencing your decision here. Either it's the correct play or it isn't.

the reason i asked it was although a BH has lots more loose callers chasing head prizes, with the tournament now being close to the bubble would many villians with AK see the call as too big a risk knowing his full stack is at risk preflop?
i remember doing a shove with 99 a few hands earlier which got no callers, but they might all have had rubbish anyway.

Shove with TT here, if they fold AK that's good for us, if they call with AK, that's good for us too.

id prefer a min raise if we were on the button to induce something from the blinds but because were utg shoving is the only thing we can do here
