Pot and half pot bets?

Why if you press the half pot bet or pot bet buttons does the amount not correspond?

I cant remember the exact amounts but sometime like if I try to half pot bet a 12p pot it bets 7p. and if I pot bet a 20p pot it bets 22p?

Whats all that about.

    The pot that is shown on the tables is after rake, but the halfpot / pot bets relate to the pot with no rake taken
