    Bet more pre, bet more flop, 4nl always bet turn! try to get it in by turn

    I thought checking back the turn would enable me to get a crying call from a pair like 99. Didn't put those cards in his range after he called the flop

    Pre should be more like 24p total, maybe more if you know they're just limp/calling anything. Flop size is fine as played but obviously if u go bigger pre, your flop bet will be alot bigger too. Definitely bet the turn.

    You should be betting for value 100% of the time on that turn. Dont try to outplay people, just bet for value constantly. fwiw 99 will call turn and prob river lol. just bet

    Yeah I agree it's just sometimes checking the turn can get marginal hands to call the river

    Yes, definitely bet the turn for value in this spot, by giving him a free card you are giving them a chance to outdraw you on the river which is what happened in this case lol. Don't try and outplay people at nl4, there is no point really, just bet, bet, bet for value everytime you have a hand.
