Was a really good day today. After a bad start, losing 4 hu games out of 6, later on went onto win a good number of HU Games, and made a decent profit from cash.
When i first started a "diary" it was £58 quid to £200.
Then at the 2nd attempt, this one initially was x-£300.
To be fair, when i started both of these this probably wouldnt have been possible due to the way i played. One day i would win a lot, then the next day i might lose, and keep doing that. And when i was losing, i could chase losses "tilt" and just do all the wrong things.
This week my account is at the highest it has been. It's quite a good title "a journey" as this exactly what this is!
When i posted on the clinic "how do i play" i was looking for some feedback on what others thought on some hands i posted up a couple of weeks ago. In isolation these don't paint a full picture, but they gave an idea as to how i played, and what my thought processess were during certain hands.
The main reason i post regulary about results, is to stay focussed and keep track of how things are going.
After i posted "how do i play" some useful contributions confirmed what i was thinking about my own game.
Before when i was doing the "diaries", i was overall making a small profit, but there was a lot of bad parts to my game which held me back from making consistant profit.
For the next while, i am going to stick at 4nl till i have about £400-£500 in my account, then i'll start multi-tabling 10nl. It's pretty good just now because most of the "regs" are not playing as much here from what i can see.
My game has came along a lot, and no doubt there is still a long way to go, but it is good to see things moving in the right direction.
Played bad/ tired/ and the tables were just mental! Didn't run too good, but overall it was just really bad play. WAs playing way too loose, and it was fast and ferocious.
Biggest loss ever in such a short period of time, but i will soon make it up.
The tables were invaded by people from higher levels, some playing well others getting it in reallly light.
Think it was a lesson that "grinding" or playing for hours on end is not for me. It's mental some of the same players have been playing for hours on end lol good luck to them.
Larson I get the feeling myself that it is going to cause chaos for lots of people I myself today just dropping my bankroll down and get so confused with think due to the number of tables I am playing at once in other words 5 tables is enough for me.

I was going to move back down to 4 and grind for the promo, but so many people are going to be putting in crazy hours im not going to bother - too busy this weekend to put enough hours in.

Yep lol last week was really sweet, most times i sat down at the tables there was none of the forum regs, i've got quite a good game going at 4nl, but that went out the window last night the first 2 hours of the promo. I realised how bad it was going to be. But, ive got 10 quid back today, so im only 10 quid off the highest my ever sky balance has been )
I totally agree with you, it's not at all worth it, some guys have been playing all day! Must do their box in.
Tintin will do really well, and i hope craigcu is up there as well.

Im not actually sure about Tintin on this promo, he normally nits it up and plays about 1% of hands pre, and having to limp with marginal/weak hands will be a whole new ball game for him. Would be interested to know if he wins at the tables this weekend.

looking at some hands on this page, have you ever thought about going for a quid on the river instead of 30p. - v some villians i might even just jam.
The 99 hand i think its fine just to fold, if he has QJ or some gutshot ul, but 2 overs suck.
The 77 and TT hands are ul wp.

The only other hand we really played was your hand with KK against my queens. Didn't like the ace on the flop, but when the ace came on the turn i didn't think you had an Ace, when i seen the Kings it all made sense. I could have got away from the hand, but it's a tough one giving your bet sizing, and i dont think you are folding if i re-raise/ ship.

Instead of playing cash, ended up playing 2 MTTs tonight, first one i busted out within 10 minutes, was crippled after my turned set, completed opponents straight.
In the other one i ended up getting a deep run, knocked out 9th. Exit hand was KQ against Q2 suited, he hut his flush and even a 2 on the river to really rub it in!
Was at the scottish cup final today, finals at hampden for Celtic have been brutal the last couple of years, but wasn't expecting to much from Hibs. In cash, i've been playing way to loose, and often badly as well. Partly due to the fact that the tables have been so tight with all the regulars on it. Some of what i normally do went out the window, which may not be all that bad, if a tables playing tight you want to loosen up right?
Since the promo started, overall, i am down £3, which sounds bad, but given my early loss, losing £20 in 2 hours, i'm not that disapointed.
Out of all the players that moved down to 4nl, Liamboi was the strongest opponent i came across. He was 3 betting really light, and making loads of moves, but doing it at the right times. There was one hand, blind on blind, i raised, he 3 bet, and i 4 bet with 69 os. The only hand i wasn't 2 impressed with Liam was when i 4 bet 5 bet all in with AK he called with pocket 77s! Needless to say 7s held.

No idea how it will go, but if i get tired/ lose focus there would be 0 point in doing a load of money.
