Dubai World Cup 2013

Well what a week highlighted by having a premier seat for the World Cup meeting right under Sheik Mohammed's box, right in line with the winning post. Couldnt of had a better view on a great days racing. Plenty on offer to look at in between races as well , not least the way the fillies dress and hold themselves.

Did'nt start off to well as I didnt get the winner of the Arab race and stuck with my old mate Penitent for the Mile. Soft Falling Rain was easy to pick , now won seven on trot.

Kicking myself for not getting Cavalryman in Gold cup and Lines of Battle was something you could easily have picked. Secret Number was the one to take from this race, no run and finished like a train.

At last a winner with Shea Shea in the sprint although the price was a bit stingy but he was a dead cert. Then I got really angry as last season in the carnival I followed Reynoldothewizard and he only won once. This year he has now won three on the bounce and despite everybody saying he cant keep on improving he certainly did for the Golden Shaheen.

The Dubai Duty Free saw me get my second winner when Sajjhaa scored for the fourth time on the trot at 8-1 and then Jamie spencer gave Dunaden a terrible ride in the Classic but St Nicholas Abbey deserved to win.

Then to the big one and I was very confident on Animal Kingdom 11-2 and rightly so. given a brilliant ride by his american Jockey he always had it the bag although my wife's tip Red Cadeaux gave me a late scare. Nevermind that he would have won at a longer trip , with a little more luck in running he would have won. Lets hope he reaches his true potential in the uk this season.

So would I go again, well no but it is worth going at least one time in your life , a bucket list certainty!!! You can also do it on the "cheap"  three days at the Atlantis Half board and including all flights aand transfers for £700 per person and you can get in on general admission for only £4.

Had a wonderful guide in my sister Debbie who is starting up escorted tours of Dubai under Debbie Does Dubai. You definitely need someone like her if you are going to get the best value for money with the other hotspots to see.

So a wonderful and profitable trip thanks to getting Bet365 on the internet. You might find other gambling sites need you to have VPN, whatever that is, on your laptop/phone. Sky Poker/Bet definitely do need this.
Otherwise you are limited to the Pick Six-get the winners of the last six races-something that could have easily been done this year. I should have had 5 and could have had six.
The other pools are double tricasts and they were near impossible to win with so many outsiders placed.

If anybody wants to go or is interested in the other things available send me a message or post here and I will try to help.
