The Mogul Thread Is No More. :/

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii guys.

Been dabbling now and then on Sky Poker again recently (after not playing on the site primarily due to university) and really want to improve my cash game! It is dire! I'm successful at SnGs and Tourneys but am a losing cash player. I've never been good at it and it's always been my Achille's heel, my kryptonite.

Soooo I'm gonna start this thread thing. It won't be a diary as such but more of a blog which I'll update now and again. 

Have a BR of £70 at the minute so I'm just going to be playing 2p/4p. Hopefully I won't lose the lot and I'll be able to progress. That's the plan anyway!

Hope you guys will enjoy and any advice will be great!

    After a loooooooooooooooong session tonight I am up like 2 quid something? Which is a great win in my book because not only am I finishing a cash session positive but I also came back from an massive initial loss of around 2.5 buy-ins. 

    So so far... so good! :)

    Update No. 2

    Amazingly I'm doing well (touch wood!). Had a session this afternoon which didn't go too well (loss of around £2) but have just finished snother session now in which I made around £10. Happy with my play and didn't get any beats (at least, none that I can think of)!

    No hands to post at the minute as I feel there aren't any that I'm not sure about.

    Swings and round abouts mate, just stick at it and find out what works for your.

    There was a hand last night where you have KJ, on a Jack high board, some bet out strong and you called them all the way even once they were all in. If you see a lot of aggression at 2p 4p most times players are not at it, they have the goods, against a lot of aggression top pair good kicker is hardly ever good.

    Soooooo yeah, disasterous sesh last night. Lost around 2.5 Buy-ins. Mixture of (IMO) playing a tad badly and getting unlucky.

    As soon as I lost the last big hand of the sesh I just wanted to quit and withdraw my money. Get this feeling a lot when I lose quite a bit. Anyone else get that?

    Make sure you're using the browser and not the download client when viewing the hand history.

    Go to the 'My Sky Poker' tab at the top, click on Hand History, find it and just copy and paste it from there.

    You only get issues if you're copying and pasting it from the download client or if you're copying it from the HH that you can view while at the table.

    I've thrown in the towel!

    Played quite a bit of cash the other day... Didn't do too bad during the day but in the night I lost like 2.5 BIs in like, half an hour (yes, I was playing shocking and I was tired). Soooo I've had enough. Cash is just too stressful for me!

    So yesterday I went back to what I know best and played some SnG - Turbo HU to be exact. Played quite a few games over the course of a few hours (All £2.10 stakes) and managed to make a decent profit of around £18.

    So I'm gonna stay away from cash for a while and focus on SnGs and tournies (which, results will show, I'm better at).

    I'm gonna keep this thread going though as I like to write (and hopefully some of you will find it interesting).

    Sounds all too familiar to me, I've tried a few time to transition from MTT's to cash but always end up reverting to type.  I'm beginning to think that playing 100bb deep is just not for me as my mentality from playing MTT's is to play for the win which means I'm not scared to risk my stack in order to put myself in a position to win a tournament, however when I do this playing cash I just stack off way too often and don't manage to balance this with doubling up on other occaisions!

    Cash is a peculiar medium to those who have learnt via MTT's!!

    Does not seem to happen other way round....Weird!


    In my limited experiance, quite a few Hungry Sharks swim around the Cash Tables eating up the Good Bad & Ugly MTT ...& Cash Players!!

    This is Why Table Selection IS SO IMPORTANT, something the MTT'ers does put enough emphasis on when making any transition!!

    Hope to See you in Mon's DTD fa Tha Squad soon!!

    Had a great session earlier on in the day playing HU Turbos - made about £12 in an hour, so was up to roughly £94. Played 3 tournies (2 £2 BHs and 1 £5 BH) in the evening though which didn't go so well. The cards just weren't going my way; don't think I even got any premiums in any of the 3! Managed to get a bounty but that only softened tonight blow.

    Finished tonight by playing a few more HU Turbos. Nothing great this time; I actually lost a bit but it's nothing major.

    Hollistically though, I'm up 27p on the day. WIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Just played an hour of HU Turbos (£2 ones) and made a profit of around £8. Not sure if I'll be playing later as I have quite a few things to do, but yeah... a decent hour all-in-all. :)
