What does the community think. Two others on my table said I played it ok.

    Yeah I remember this hand.

I iso bigger to 80p but not the end of the world.

Flop fine, turn fine, but I do think it's tight to just flat the river. I'm definitely raising the river.

I found him getting active on the river totally strange, so readless I decided to flat, perhaps a bit nitty but as I said the others on the table agreed with my flat. If he let me barrell the river, he probably would have got me then.

I think hartigan was trying to play devils advocate and agree with what I did, but as the others where soo forceful about it being a bad play he didnt follow it through.

Yeah definitely know what you mean, and I think Hartigan was making a valid point. I'd be pretty certain I'm ahead but there aren't a huge amount of hands that will call a raise with worse (assuming they aint crazy).

I would be raising the river but that doesn't necessarily mean it's right :)

To be fair, on the show the analysts have to review it in a vacuum so without the reads mentioned above cos they just dont' have them, so in a vacuum, i think we should raise.

I think you have played the hand fine.

maybe the analysts mean you should have gone broke if the opponent played the hand more aggressive by raising flop or turn by him/her playing it passive till river you saved money and they let you off the hook imo.

    spot on.
that villian with the nut flush should have caused you to go bust he was just too passive.

    Raise against a random.

Flat is fine if you have notes on the guy.

The more I thought about the hand on the night the more I came over towards the line you took, btw.

Out of interest...what do you do if he takes the same line but its not a paired board?

At the microstakes, especially on Sky, when you are up against random fishy players*, this line is almost always the nuts. When you iso-raise a player pre-flop they will fold to c-bet very often. When they take the line of limp-call-check-call-check-call-hugedonkriver it's almost always "I flopped the nuts".

You still did the right thing to call and (presumably) make notes. But raising on the end is unecessary.
