I recently played my biggest cash pot.
It was 3 way and i made a mistake when i called one of the players all in shove on the turn.
I thought he had me covered but actually i had £50 behind. I didn't say anything, just felt a little silly for leaving that amount behind in a £800 pot.
The other player in the pot also made the same error and thought everyone was all in and tabled his cards.
The action is now on me on the river and i'm holding the nuts.
All in guy has a set and hasn't filled up on river, other guy has 2nd nut flush (i know, MBN)
Without a seconds thought at the time, i put my last £50 in and the guy sigh called.
No one said anything at the time but now i'm not sure.
He made the mistake of turning his cards over, so fair game for me to bet?
If he hadn't done that all the money goes in anyway.
There is enough money in the pot, i should just turn my cards as well and take a nice pot?
Would there be any issue with me not betting the nuts on river from the floor?

Hi Paul.
No, you did nothing wrong.
However, in that spot, I'd chuck him the last £50 back, after the hand. Karma is a powerful thing, best not get wrong side of it.
Amongst decent folk in cash games, it is quite normal, when someone is in for their case money, to ask the oppo "want to leave a bit behind?". (Taxi fare home or whatever). Next time it may be YOU on the wrong end of it. Do as thy will be done & all that.
"....Would there be any issue with me not betting the nuts on river from the floor?...."
Well this ONLY applies in Live Poker, NOT Online Poker.
Strictly speaking, yes, you are in breach of any reasonable rule book of Live Poker if you are LAST TO ACT & do not bet the nuts.
But it is no big deal, & I've never seen anyone penalised for it. It really applies more to Tourneys than Cash, because of collusion issues.
Generally, poker players being minded the way they are, a few sad souls will have a little chunter, "please Mr Floor, he never bet the nuts" but it never gets penalised. I mean, what they going to do, have you shot? They can't take the pot back. I suppose if someone did it repeatedly, some form of censure might follow, but it is such a rare occurence to even be in that spot that it is almost never going to happen twice in a night.
Rules in Live Poker are poorly applied, I'm afraid, as each venue does its own thing. Not a big deal though, most live players are bright enough to understand it is just a social occasion really, & the idea is to enjoy ourselves.
Table Selection is not just "money", it is also about playing poker with decent folks, unless of course you are a pro.
In the cash games I play, we would always, 100%, "leave a bit behind", or chuck back £25 or £50 after the hand if the geezer has lost his case money & is leaving the game. He would NOT sit with that money on the table though. If he plans to pull up again, he does not get the little "tip".
