hi guys and girls i have been playing sky poker on and off for 2 years now i do not play any other poker site finding it frustrating that the site does not generate thousands of players can anyone tell me why? is it that it is only uk based where as others have international players also? i would of thought this would be a popular site as it is a well known brand/company etc. IT NEEDS MORE PLAYERS SO WHATS STOPPING THEM sort it out sky get more players in please cause i dont want to move site i like it here and am comftable using the site but there is not enough players playing or enough mtts through the day

This time of year, of course, the numbers reduce, but they are still up y-o-y, as they have been every year since Sky Poker began.
Very few sites can say that.
I have seen lots of people talk about bots and players having lots of different accounts.
I have raised a issue with sky chat only to be told that all players are legal.
I have seen so many bad beats on here its too regular not to be a problem.
I was playing live and discussing this issue in stoke and walsall casino and lots of players stated it was not a good site for playing poker.
The main problem seems to be the almost bad beats lots of times and ratio of massive hands.
I play every night on here but am slowly losing patience with bad players calling with nothing and hitting flushes and straights almost every 3-4 hands.
I have lost it occasionally on here as its meant to be fun and enjoy the game however its impossible to enjoy a experience when this site torments so much.
I have a feeling until the software improves and the issues of the this are questioned by sky to why i dont think traffic will improve at all i have seen lots of players leave because of these issues.
I am nearly there myself it just seems if you do talk about it your punished.
i play social on lots of sites and i enjoy the BH tourneys on here but its not good software when flushes,straights and quads so often hit the board its hard not to believe the rumours you here about in casinos and on other sites when you see it with your own eyes and its not as common on other poker sites.
Now im not shouting about it or being abusive it something that should be discussed because a simple google search will tell you to stay away from this site with every little penny because you are bound to lose you money
sky poker is the best, i may not be a winning player,I play on here just for fun,not many sites have the fun you get with sky poker and the forum,
Just check your hand historys and check out your own hits to miss ratio, im guessing it will stand up to any other site, having aa cracked by someone with 73 off happens thats kinda why we play because in the long run we make money, couple of things sky have got right, a couple of things wrong but that as they say is life!
Yes, it definatley should be discussed. Not sure I've ever seen an 'online poker is rigged thread' before. Would be good to talk about the possibility that this is indeed the case.
Sky Poker also attracts mainly a UK player base and in tems of traffic is ranked 15th when you exclude networked sites.
IMO - it has come on leaps and bounds & will be much bigger & better once the new software has been released.
You can crawl & search all over the web to see what players say about online poker sites and every poker site on the web that I have come accross has similar negative comments made against it.
He took down the SPT at Dublin so there's proof you can beat the fishies from the Irish Sea 
But lets be honest, nobody ever complains when its good, so for this reason, you are more likely to find bad comments when searching the web than good ones.
Sky Poker is a target for inexperienced & recreational players, its a place where new players can come to learn their game in one of the most friendly poker environments on the web. But Inevitably, with so many new and inexperienced players on the site, we will always come accross an array of bad play and bad beats at the tables.
More experienced players will always tell you that these are the types of players we want to be up against and I certainly would too - I don't particularly want 5 other players at my table with the ability of "Phil Ivey" for instance.......It would make it a whole lot harder for us to win some money.
Whilst none of us like bad beats, it's just something we either have to learn to live with or learn to beat if we are going to succeed in online poker.
Stick 1000 inexperienced poker players along with a handful of seasoned players in a Live Poker Room and you will see similar bad beats/poor play or whatever else you want to call it, but i'm pretty confident that the handful of seasoned players will have the ability to overcome this and cash on a regular basis.
Comments like "Its always the same players winning" is another thing I see on here on a regular basis too, but there is a very good reason it's always the same players - because these players have confidence in their own experience & ability to overcome and outplay inexperienced players at the tables and for the most part will happily accept the bad beats they are given -
OK so nobody particularly likes bad beats, but the sooner we learn to accept them and try to avoid them as part of poker, the better player we will become. Give me a table full of inexperienced players any day of the week and I will "Run like Thewey"(Thats Julian YoYo Thew) for anyone who has never heard of him
Remember - there are more losing poker players than winning poker players, so the negative reviews/comments we see are always going to be weighted in favour of the losing players imo.

Unfortunately your original query went off topic by one or two unrelated comments and inevitably have been responded to by myself and some of our more informed regs who know that such comments about the sites integrity are just unfounded.
Anyway - I hope I have been able to answer your original question.

However to berate the live players who cant ajust and say that i am not a winning poker player is incorrect.
I win lots thankyou and make a small profit most weeks i understand the point in saying that bad beats happen to everyone. Trust me everyday would not be the same without this.
Im am just saying what is said about this site in lots of places may be why not so many players come here

I also play lots of other sites as well and after playing for over 10 years on line and being a test player for numerous new sites that have openend in the past and are still going.
I was saying about the hands are massive in tournements on here
You get flushes and full houses and quads more often on here than anywhere else.
What does worry me is the non players who play on here and cant be found with name searches or any poker search sites they simply dont exist.
Ive also know that when a delay is on the river card i know for a fact im losing that hand.
I am not putting down sky poker just when you raise issues of software they should be looked at
And just for the record im not running bad at all im running well so i guess that im against the comments of people only moan when their losing and sing when their winning becasuse im winning and raising the issues
