New tournament.... new villain.  Not really a hand to critique as such... more of an open ended question on what size people would be raising this up to with a limper and a raiser already in the pot.  I'll let you know what I did after some of you have had your say.

I have about 2k chips btw.

Was just wondering whether 400 was enough... pondered about 450/500... but no idea what the limper is thinking here calling a 3 bet with whatever hand he has.

i wouldnt be results orientated about it, u want him to call not fold so i think 400 is perfect

Oh no im not being results orientated about it.  Id normally stick it to 400 ish but with the limper I was wondering if I should be adding on a little more?  I was thinking about this before the hideous flop turned up.

you did add on 40 didnt u to compensate the limper, i would normally make it 360 but because of the limp i ad his 40 on to make it 400, i dont think bet sizing is a major issue unless your larry1959 and your open 5 xing left right and centre

    360 fine
    the 40 limp is irrelevant
it's either atc so will fold
or a slow played good hand which will call
extra 40 here or there won't make much difference

I'm going 360 to 400, 3x depeding onif you rate your postflop skill against the field or 400 for more of a chance of them to fold.

Im going 360. Limper irrelevant as im expection a fold almost 100% of the time from him.

Can we talk about the flop fold? Is he open jamming trip aces here? Or even a flopped FH to someone who has just 3 bet them very big pre? Why not try get an extra bet before jamming? I would love to know peoples thoughts as im probably sigh calling here.

Im not sure as its very confusing. Why push with such a strong hand but again why would he push with QQ, 1010, 99 etc - hands we are beating (or even sharing KK). I can see him here with QQ, KK and a suited KJ/QJ as much as he has the A.

He has less than a pot sized bet behind, so yeah he jams but it's not a huge overbet or anything. Stinks of A10 or similar. Might have even flopped it with AJ and wants paying off by AK/AQ.

    360

Is there ever an argument with UTG and HJ to call, see if UTG is slow playing. If he raises you may get all In v two players pre. As played flop is a bit grotty really as we really want an ace -free one. Personally I'd have raised myself mind.

Depends what level buy in is. If its quite a small buy in then raise to 350-450 for value off weaker players.

Personnally I would go 300-350 though. Don't really hate the sizing though.
