with hands like AQ i just jam as a gambel with it being late in the tournament.
but with AA-QQ should i slow down my aggression or is it still best to just jam.

AQ and 13bb, easy spot to get it in. Reasonable chance you can get called by worse too as if the BB wakes up with A10 or AJ they might well struggle to fold that blind on blind. Might play it a bit trickier if I knew the villain or had some history, but the standard line in that spot is to move in I reckon.

KK is a tougher proposition. On one hand I like the shove as it balances your range, assuming that we would also jam A10 etc from the button with 15bb or less. However, as both blinds have a similar stack to yours, I might be inclined to minraise the button, let them think you are stealing and give them a chance to jam their pocket pairs or medium aces, or maybe even suited broadway cards if they believe they have fold equity. Sometimes you just need to hand them enough rope.

i min raise call off in these spots, purely because we have 13/15bb with 1/2 opponents to get through, I'm happy for them to 3b shove a much wider range. Although i dont think shoving is a mistake either. WP

What do you do when your minraise gets called and then you get shoved on after an favourable flop eg AJ3 with KK or K62 with AQ?

With your stack craig its a cooler bet,There is no way you can fold pre with AQ in that situation.

    Hi C

Its Eff stack size that tells you to shove here, in both cases. They are in call or fold mode too for their stack size. These situations should be shove fests as you may be adding 10% to your stack without seeing a flop.
I dont see AQ and jamming as a gamble as for certain stack eff sizes a call should come from a hand you have +EV with. You'd be surprised what you should jam with mathematically in this situation and for this eff ss.
PS Mind i had KK in SB v BB's AA just 4 handed. Shove, call out!

it's wasn't that i would fold AQ that was just another all or nothing type.
it's weather pairs AA-QQ could be slowed down in as i already have a very good hand and wouldn't want to waste it.

if their was already a min raise done or if i before the button then i would certainly do a jam even with AA-QQ.
