I completely mis-read this thread title and thought it said F U YoYo lol... then realised the thread starter was Tommy and thought... that can't be right.
funk Tommy? a new usage you youngsters have dreamt up as the ones in my dictionary don't really seem to be appropriate?
Oxford dictionary:
noun
1 (also blue funk) chiefly British a state of great fear or panic:are you in a blue funk about running out of things to say?
chiefly North American a state of depression:I sat absorbed in my own blue funk
2 dated, chiefly British a coward:I sit shuddering, too much of a funk to fight
verb
[with object] chiefly British
avoid (something) out of fear:I could have seen him this morning but I funked it
but doesn't seem that apt - most relevant I could find was maybe this:
An unfriendly altercation in the Bay Area. Funk means a problem is going to occur momentarily because two opposing groups have just arrived at the same location.
"There's about to be some funk up in here bro. Some drunk poker fools just walked in playin' all kinds of trash with yoyo."
