Does shove look ultra strong or weak to you? Bit of background on player but not much as he was new at the time. Very loose preflop limps every hand or just calls so can basically have any 2 pre and often shows up with hands like Q 5 o/s (basically anything) post flop had not done anything at all as of yet he had just called his/her way down to showdown and hadn't taken the betting lead on a hand that I can remember. (These are what I got from this player within about 40 mins)

ugh, that's ugly. I'm not sure... the board is so dry of possible hands that do that which don't beat you.

He has Q8 a lot I guess, and possibly 78. But equally possible is like J9, 109. I'm leaning towards J9 or Q8 being the most likely based on the betting, in fact- I'm pretty certain.

So it's a cointoss. It really could be either. Based on that, I probably call in case he has a bare 9.

Imo you should be betting the flop after 2 checks to you and with the reads you have on his hand selection so far i would also be calling the river because he could easily be overvaluing his trips.

    Never ever folding, good call.

EDIT:  Yeah after reading BL's post below it made me notice your turn raise size and it  is way too small, we do wanna be setting up for the river jam and as BL said, I'd go more like £4.50 which probably gets calls just as often. Still never folding tho.

I can't fold the river and I wouldn't worry about it being a mistake if I called and was beat. It would be a bit of a hero fold if you made it and I'm not sure it would be a good one. I think we need to know if he can be doing this with just a bare 9 to give a decent answer. If we don't think he calls turn and jams river with a hand as weak as 9x, then we probably should fold but if he can, or can be doing it as weak as JT, then calling is correct. Without reads on what we think he's doing with those hands, I don't think we should just assume that he can only have a nutted range.

We're going to pick up what's likely to be a solid read on this guy if we call and he shows us the house or quads and, readless against someone we think plays any two, we're going to be winning a lot of the time anyway.

I'd raise more on the turn, though. We need to be building the pot more to try to stack someone on the river and if you'll get a call for £2.90, you'll probably get a call for £4.50 too.

Ya I'd call, turns up with 9x enough of the time imo.
