    HI calcal,

    I was on your table the first hand and I have notes on this guy. A calling station who wont give up any pair. Very unlucky (even more so as I had a J too).

    Both hands IMO are just very unlucky. You will get far more calls with worse hands all day long.

    Hand 1 ul

    Hand 2 against a standard passive NL4 player , just call or fold. They are not lieing here from my experience, the reraise is usually the nuts.

    Edit, i would call 1 street, check fold to any big bet on the turn, unless we improved.

    Ah, the old 4nl minraise with the nuts.

    Both seem ok to me, though wouldn't object to a fold pre in hand 1.

    I prefer a flat to the reraise on the flop in hand 1.  His range includes AA, JJ, AJ and 44 as he was pre flop aggressor.  You get away from it on turn too.

    Hand 2 can just be a call to the raise on the flop aswell. Although he will be doing this with a range of hands, min raise  shows so much strength.  Ironically you miiiight get away from this too on the turn, although the limp in could mean he has anything.  I've changed my mind.  I probably shove too tbh.  He so rarely pops up with a set after limping in and its so hard to nail him to just K10 - just ul.

    Both very tough spots and I probably find myself going broke a lot of the time depending on op.

    pre: flat mmm or just fold - 3 bet ? why are you flatting - waiting for miracles :)
    flop: don't m/r - you could even flat with effective
