Just Give up, or ship the river?

This hand here, i was thinking they had a big Ace. When they called my turn bet, i was thinking differently so checked gave up. Should i just have followed through with my plan? If i shove the river, this would be a decent enough play? No reads.

give the turn up mate, the 6 card isnt a card you should be barreling cos it changes nothing.

Fold pre. Not a great hand to be playing oop after being 3bet.

Edit - 10 handed, probably just open fold AJo in early position.

Raising is fine imo but fold to 3 bet pre, if an ace comes on the flop you can easily be in a world of hurt.

    Flop..........just fold mate.

    it's a deepstack, early stages,
so calling the 3bet pre isn't the worst thing in the world as you are multiway
as long as you bin it if you don't hit hard (ie 2pr or straight draw)
but c/mr on the flop 4-handed - audacious - but bluffing 4-way is not for the faint hearted
and as soon as your bluff is called it's over

ps their 3bet pre can just as well be a nice pair as a big A, and as it was not much more than a minraise over an utg+1 raise + mp caller that is screaming strength

Upon review, I would say fold the flop. Not worth it in a tourney.

A fold pre is probably best, opening the AJo is ok but on a 10handed table when we've opened UTG+1, get a call, then get 3bet and another call, we're probably not in fantastic shape and there are so few flops that we'll feel confident on.

As Geldy said, we're very deep so a call isn't terrible given the great price we're getting but it's gotta be a call t try and smack the flop imo not a call to then go nuts on a flop that is rubbish for us. Sets are well within his range on the flop as are OPs and he did c-bet 4way which is generally not a sign of weakness.

Because of your action pre and then your action post, you're pretty much just repping sets and nothing else which is alright but means you have to follow through and ship the river, and you may get him off some OPs.

If you are betting the turn why didn't you shove the river here? Did you put him on the 7 and as no over you feel he is calling?

I gave up, really bad i know. If i ship the river they really need a monster to call.

I don't mind my play here, i just didn't stick to the plan lol

Really no need to get involved in the hand Larson. Done a third of your stack needlessly. Don't waste tourney chips! Once they are gone...

Far to aggressive with little equity early in a tourny. Fold flop. As played, you have to ship river to continue your story. If he calls, note that bad call and move on.

Fold to the three bet pre works for me --- if an ace or a j comes down you have no idea whether you are ahead or behind ... you need a miracle flop to be happy after this call...
