Hi guys, I have been looking into the promos and can someone just clarify something for me. If you get 9500pts you get £190 (ish) but if you get 10,000 points you get 20% rake back from there on can that be less then £190? or are the first 9,999 10% rake back?
Anything under 10k points, there's the easy calc of just X number of points multipled by 1p/1.5p or whatever rate you reach.
Over 10k that all goes out the window and it's completely on rake paid which is where it gets a bit funny, few things to remember
1) SnG/MTTs pay 10 poker points per £1 of rake
2) Cash games pay 6 points per £1 rake.
This means if you play soley cash and earn 10,001 points, you will get more money than a soley DYM player earning 10,001 points cos the cash player has had to pay more rake to earn them same points and 10k+ points is purely a percentage back of rake paid (points become meaningless).
3) Likewise, if you earn over 10k points as a cash player then happy hours are pretty meaningless (except to help you get from say the 20% bracket to the 25% bracket) because happy hours give you more points but you don't pay more rake so you won't get any more money for them points.
You're an MTT though... so if you play soley MTTs/SnGs then yeh 9500 is £190... if you earned 10,000 then given it's 10 points per £1 of rake, that means you must have paid £1000 in rake and you'd get 20% back so £200.
So 10k points will never pay less than 9.5k but it won't pay much more either.
Just out of interest, a cash player who has earned 10,000 points will have paid £1666 in rake (compared to £1000) and so would get £333
So a player who only plays cash and nothing else will get £333 meaning that last 1 point is worth over £100!! I am hoping to make the transition over to cash hence the question. Thanks for a well explained answer Lambert as per usual! Posted by Batkin88
Yeah kinda works both ways, some will moan about them earning more, but that's only fair if they are paying more in rake. And on the reverse side of it, if they got 9950 points, the DYM and cash player would get the same amount even though the cash player has paid like £500+ more rake.
With regards to poker points. I got £240 ish for making priority(10k) under the new system. I havent got a clue about the maths for it but I played mtts, cash and sngs.
For the record, I used to get £340 two years ago for the same points playing mainly sngs.
when did these extra happy hours after midnight starts? extra bonus for me I usually play my poker after midnight till early hours in the morning anywayz. Posted by liamboi11
Remember that if you get to priority happy hours & early birds only get you to the next level as you do not get paid money for them as they are not raked.

I don`t normally worry about my points but was thinking setting myself a target to reach 10k never done it before i`m just too lazy lol, but yeah it`s good gettin some cashback the following month but I normally focus more on making profit.
just out curiousity could you give me an example?do you still get 20%rakeback? does that mean my rewards would differ every month depending how many happy hours I played?

In short, yes. Cos of the happy hours player A might earn 10,000 points and have played every single minute of every happy hour to get there while player B also has 10,000 points but hasn't played a single happy hour, so player B must have paid a lot more rake to get their 10k points so get more C4P

If you earn 10,000 points exactly just playing cash(for simplicity's sake) no happy or early birds means you paid £1666.66 in rake 20% back =£333.33.But if you had 500(for ease of calc) points earned in happy hours & early birds you have only paid £1583.33 rake 20% back =£316.66 which is still better than 9999 points which pays just £198.98.But that is just calculated on cash 6 points per £1 of rake for cash.If you just play mtt's & stt's 2p a point & 20% are the same and a mix of everything cash & mtt's & stt's with happy hours & early birds and get priority every month will differ.

The tables are raked during these promos, however, they are just brought into line with non-cash games, points possibly boosted if you do early bird tables during happy hour. No poker site will ever offer non-raked cash tables.
I've done some quick calcs, im not quite up to speed with the what the benefits are if you stay in priority for 3+ months sinnce the changes. I think they're are static now, whereas C4P would give you the next level up pence value(?).
Obv this makes Non-Cash look much better than Cash (below 10K points) but I dont think thats particularly the case, the below is just the minimum you can earn from playing Cash.... obv if you can play every happy hour that makes a redic difference.
Also its worth baring in mind if your going for 10K+ you need to win more than Rake-RB% to breakeven at the very least.
right yous cleared that up for me totally get it now.Tbh has a said earlier I mainly play my cash after midnight so I will be playing more happy hours than normal hours which meansless rake paid but less rewards no fussed about the rakeback anywayz but glad I understand it now though.
