Is it possible to join a waiting list and to open in the new style table?

Not that I know of. It always opens with the old table for me when I'm on the waiting list.

As for tables not opening. Are you giving them enough time? They take much longer to open than the old tables.

Open up the table in the new format then join the waiting list.

    Good thinking.

Why did I never think of doing that?

If you DON'T open the table up first, then whenever you're next on the table it opens up in the style (old or new) that you last opened that particular table up in. If that makes sense.

    Upon first use

    Brags

    Auto top up
    Can vary table size

    Beats

The bet x values have changed (Please put them back as before)
The auto top up keeps saying it has topped up (YES I KNOW YOU DID, I TOLD YOU TO!!!!! STOP TELLING ME)

    Variance

Colour scheme looks like it is aimed at 5 year olds

A bit off topic here, whenever I open a cash table either in the browser or the download client i'm still getting the old style table. Am i doing something wrong? Any help will be much appreciated.
