Ross & Simon seemed to find the NL200 action last night surprising with its level of aggro and hands played But we often see play like that on Top of the Pots Is the Sky higher stakes action more creative than elsewhere, and if so why? Or was this an unusual session? Posted by GELDY
selection bias.
the hands are chosen because they are 'tv worthy'.
sky also doesn't play like any other site really at relative stakes. def don't think the word is creative to describe it too lol.

This.
The word creative so often seems to be a cop-out for varying degrees of either highly aggressive, unfamiliar lines, or outright terrible play. It's a really ambiguous term in poker, and shouldn't be used imo. Not just that, but most 'creative' plays seen by the viewer tend to be just straight-up bad anyway, but it's the lack of expertise from the viewer that leaves them labelling such lines as creative. This is the commentators/presenters job to inform the viewer and explain why an unusual line is good/bad. To educate (and entertain obv obv obv) those watching on at the very least, the reasoning behind a particular play/move, so they arn't left confused, alienated, or misinformed.
